Feng Shui Legend of General Chen Ce's ancestral home
For decades, people's worship of General Chen Ce and the legend about his ancestral home Feng Shui have attracted many domestic and foreign tourists. Shagang village is surrounded by mountains and seas. The coconut trees around the village are tall and green. The road into the village is smooth and clean. The houses in the village are orderly, and birds often sing in the Woods and on the roofs, which can be regarded as the epitome of Wenchang's hometown of overseas Chinese. In front of the gate is a half-moon pond about an acre, named Taigongtang. It is said that Chen Ce's ancestral home is backed by a hill, and there is no pond in front of it. His father, Chen Wengou, an overseas Chinese in Singapore, believes in geographical feng shui. He heard a Feng Shui gentleman say that there is a mountain behind the mirror in front of his house, and his descendants will become rich and become big officials. So he remitted a sum of money from Singapore and asked someone to build a half-moon pond in front of his house, so that the geographical feng shui of his home conformed to his statement. When repairing the reservoir, it was named Taigongtang. The layout of Taigong Pool and the house is symmetrical and looks quaint and chic. Coincidentally, shortly after the completion of Taigongchi, Chen Ce's performance in the Kuomintang's military and political affairs became more and more prominent. He became the commander of the Kuomintang Guangdong Navy and the mayor of Guangzhou, and his younger brother Chen Ji also became the commander of the Kuomintang Army. Two generals were born in the family. Since then, the legend of Chen Ce's ancestral home Feng Shui has spread further and further.
