Cats, belonging to the feline family, are a common pet in families around the world. The ancestors of domestic cats are speculated to be the desert cats of ancient Egypt, the Persian cats of Persia, which have been domesticated by humans for 3,500 years (but not as completely domesticated as dogs). An average cat has a round head, short face, five fingers on the forelimbs, and four toes on the hind limbs. The toes have sharp and curved claws that can be retracted and have night vision.

Hunt other animals in ambush, and most of them can climb trees. Cats have fat pads on the bottom of their toes to prevent them from making noise when walking and to prevent rats from escaping when hunting.

The claws are retracted when walking to prevent them from being blunted, and they are extended when catching mice and climbing rocks. The cat's body is divided into five parts: head, neck, trunk, limbs and tail. Most parts are covered with hair, and a few are hairless cats. Cats have fat pads at the bottom of their toes, so they can walk silently and will not scare away mice when catching them. There are sharp nails on the ends of their toes. The claws can be retracted and extended. Cats retract their claws when resting and walking, and only extend them when catching mice and climbing to prevent their nails from being blunted.

A cat has five fingers on its forelimbs and four fingers on its hind legs. Cat's teeth are divided into incisors, canines and molars. The canine teeth are particularly developed and sharp as cones, suitable for killing captured rodents. The chewing surfaces of the molars have sharp protrusions, suitable for chewing meat; the incisors are underdeveloped.
