Riding through Hulunbeier (4)-Weather and Climate

before going out every time, it is necessary to know the local climate conditions and characteristics, such as altitude, temperature, temperature difference, rainfall and so on. Before you go out, check it online and consult it. Hulunbeier is more than 6 meters above sea level. At this altitude, no one will have altitude sickness. The temperature in Hulunbeier in July is generally 15-26 degrees, and there is not much rainfall, and there is only a short light rain. Hulunbeier belongs to the high latitude area, and the daytime is particularly long in summer. Because it is located in the grassland, with less rainfall and open ground, the wind may be particularly strong. We have considered all these, but it is so, and in some aspects, it is still beyond our expectation. Among them, the deepest impression is the long day, fierce wind, vicious sun and capricious temperature.

1. Long day

On July 16th, when I arrived in Ulanhot, I picked up my bike from the courier and assembled it for riding on the road. It was already past 11: a.m., but in this way, I rode 114km in the afternoon. Actually, I didn't blame myself for running fast, with an average speed of only 13km/h, and I didn't blame me for being late. I arrived in Debs at 21:4. I know, someone is saying, isn't 21:4 too late? Actually, it's not too late. You know, when I was on the road at 2:3, my brother who was drinking in Suizhou asked me where I lived. When I said I was riding on the road, he was shocked and said, Are you crazy? I smiled and said, don't worry, fortunately, the sun has just set in the sky. Previously, in Kashgar, Xinjiang in 26, when I called my child at 8 pm, I said that there was still the sun in the sky, and she said that I was lying. But now it's in the northeast. Longitudinally, it's at least two time zones away from Xinjiang, even in the east of Hubei. At that time, I realized that latitude had such a great influence on sunrise, sunset and daylight time.

however, this is not the most surprising. When I found a store to stay in, I asked the waiter when it would dawn the next day and hoped to get up early to leave. I thought she said it was after six or five, but she said it was after three or four. I'm afraid she didn't hear the question clearly or I misheard the answer, so that I asked it three times, really three times. The curtains didn't shade very well. When I was awakened by the light outside the window the next day, it was really only three o'clock. Oh, my god, I really took it. It seems that I have to go to bed early in the future, otherwise I won't have enough sleep time. In the northeast, not only the sunrise is early, but also the sunset is late. In the Arctic Village in summer, it not only lights up after three o'clock in the morning, but also has the afterglow of the sunset in the sky at ten o'clock in the evening. Of course, as for winter, that is the other extreme.

Look, this is the sky and the highway in D 'Urbervilles at 4: 3 in the morning.

2. Violent gale

In Hulunbeier, besides the long daytime, another memorable thing is the gale. Although there are not many chances of encountering strong winds in the whole journey, except for the afternoon when we arrived at Xinzuoqi on the 21st and the day when we visited Hulun Lake in Xinyouqi on the 23rd, the rest of the weather was windless. However, it still makes us remember. On July 21st, we set out from Hirsch at 4 o'clock in the morning, and the whole journey was clear in Wan Li. However, about 2km away from Gulang Town, A Mu, where Xinbaerhu Zuoqi was stationed, the sky suddenly became overcast, and a few minutes later, the wind blew hard, and then it rained heavily. The wind on the grassland is no better than that in the south of the Yangtze River. There is a strong wind without any barrier in Ma Pingchuan, which makes people almost unable to move. Although we all put on raincoats at once, the wind still poured into our necks, and it was difficult to walk with almost an inch of pupils hanging on both sides of the bike. The speed of pedaling hard on the flat road was less than 5km per hour, which was slower than walking. After getting off the bus, I feel that the body is more unstable, and it is better to ride a bicycle with good stability. The pain and discomfort at that moment is really beyond words. However, we firmly believe that no matter how painful it is, we must get to Gulang Town, A Mu at night, and we must never freeze to death in this wild place to feed wolves. Fortunately, the wind and rain on the grassland come and go quickly. Less than half an hour, it was calm. In the distance, we see distant lights in the distance. We know that the brightly lit place is our destination tonight. However, why is the light always so far away? The vast grassland has excellent air, no pollution, strong penetration and good sight. Therefore, there are actually ten or twenty kilometers within our reach.

On July 29th, when we arrived in Hailar to load the car for express delivery, the owner of this car shop asked us how Hulunbeier was. Still coming? Dahongshan said, "Good, beautiful, come again." The boss gave us a thumbs up and said, "You cow B, you are the first riders I met who said they would come back. In May last year, a cyclist came to ride for a day and sent the car back, saying what kind of broken grassland this is, what kind of weather, what kind of car to ride in such a strong wind? " Afterwards, I told Dahongshan that the boy didn't do a good strategy. In Hulunbeier in May, the temperature was low and the wind was strong, and the grass didn't grow. What are you looking at? Indeed, if you do your homework well and prepare well, you can play well and ensure safety.

3. The vicious sun

We ride a bike at home. Even in summer, the sun protection can be sloppy at ordinary times. After a while, it will be cool to find a shade or hide in the corner in front of the house. Anyway, if you want to hide from the sun, you can always find a place. However, riding in the grassland, the sun is something that people love and hate. It is really difficult and basically impossible to think that the weather is good, the scenery is beautiful, and it is not windy, which is good for riding, and it is not sunny. Do you know the best place to hide in the shade when riding on the grassland?

do you see anything from the above picture? Yes, the shade under the street sign is where we have a short rest. The 2cm-wide shade produced by road signs, billboards and even telephone poles is an excellent place for us to rest and protect ourselves from the sun. We have communicated with riders in Shenzhen later, and it coincides with each other.

Look, our equipment is always like this when riding. Do you look like a Japanese? Ha ha. However, this hat helped me a lot in the whole process. With it, I hardly got a tan. In Dahongshan, a fellow traveler, because he was too troublesome, he fished for three days and dried his net for two days. As a result, his facial skin was sunburned and peeled off. This hat not only accompanied me through Hulunbeier. In 219, I also accompanied me to complete the whole journey around Qinghai Lake, a practical meritorious hat!

As for the rain on the grassland, to put it simply, the chance of rain on the grassland is still very small. Even if it rains, it usually stops soon, unlike the rain in our south, which may last for several hours or even a day. Therefore, if you want to ride there in the future, it is enough to bring disposable raincoats and jackets, so don't worry too much about the rain.

4 capricious temperature

As for the temperature, Hulunbeier in July is very cool. Most of the time, the temperature is 15-26 degrees, which is really a rare summer resort. However, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, so spare parts can be used. I remember that summer vacation in 217, I went out on July 14th and went home on August 2nd, during which the temperature in Suizhou continued to reach 38-4 degrees, while I was in Hulunbeier, completely avoiding that high temperature period.

Of course, there is no high temperature period on the grassland, and the maximum temperature during the day will basically not exceed 3 degrees. Because of the low humidity, even if you feel hot, as long as you sit indoors or in a shady place, you will immediately feel cool or even a little cold.

here, I want to mention one place in particular, and that is Enhe. Look, this is Eun-ho.

The full name of Enhe is Enhe Russian Ethnic Township in Ergun City, and it is the only Russian Ethnic Township in China. Located in the northwest of Hulunbeier, surrounded by mountains, it is only separated from Russia by water. Geographical location is about 51 north latitude, belonging to the alpine region. In the Sino-Russian Treaty of Nebuchadnezzar in 1689, the Ergun River was designated as the Sino-Russian border, but before the signing of this treaty, the Russians had crossed the Ergun River to graze, reclaim and search for gold on the south bank. After the treaty was signed, the Russians withdrew their troops and dismantled their military fortresses, but thousands of gold diggers were still active in the territory of China. Since the second half of the 19th century, more Russians have poured into China. At the same time, people from many provinces have gradually come here, most of whom have joined the ranks of gold diggers. During the more than 1 years when two ethnic groups lived together, many Russian girls became the wives of gold miners in China. In addition, after the October Revolution in Russia, many China immigrants in Russia returned to China with their Russian wives and children, and settled in Enhe Township and its nearby land.

Enhe is the only Russian ethnic township in China, and it is a gathering place with Russian and Chinese-Russian descendants as the main body, mainly Han, Russian and Mongolian ethnic groups, of which Russian accounts for 3%. The houses where residents live here are typical Russian-style wooden houses "woodcut rafters". Most of them still retain relatively intact Russian culture and customs, and you can enjoy exotic customs and taste Russian-style food without going abroad. Enhe is very quiet and carefree. Whether it is architecture, people, customs and products, it is full of exotic customs everywhere, and the consumption is not expensive. There are clean and tidy cabins and homestays everywhere. As long as you go, you will love it there.

uh-huh, how is everything? Not really. It's just that it's too cold in summer. We came from Heishantou via X94, and it was still about 26 degrees on the way, but it was less than 15 degrees when we arrived at Enhe at night. People feel chilly. At night, the temperature is only about 1 degrees. Dahongshan said to go shopping after dinner, but I said it was too cold, so I huddled under the covers watching TV and brushing my mobile phone. I heard from a friend that when they arrived in Enhe, they saw the proprietress who was cooking was actually wearing a cotton-padded jacket, and a group of people laughed at her there, thinking, it's summer, and it's still over 2 degrees during the day. But the proprietress only smiled gently and said, you will know it in a moment. Sure enough, at dinner, the temperature was only 6-8 degrees, and everyone was shivering with cold. They rushed to the street to buy down jackets, and when the first person who bought clothes went back and asked his companions to come again, the down jackets had been robbed.

Therefore, friends who go to visit beautiful Enhe must be mentally prepared. By the way, the Vicat House we live in is really nice, with clean houses, good environment and a nice boss. Want a phone? Oh, yes, 156485882 and 1564858812. Of course, I don't know if the phone has changed now, but it can be found on the map.

The rider "symbol" written at the back is an expert in riding in Suizhou, Hubei Province. We often ride together in Suizhou cycling team. The year before last, he rode hulun buir grassland with another riding expert in Suizhou, Dahongshan. Recently, he compiled the cycling diary of that year and published it in QQ space. With his permission, I posted it on the platform intact. Today, I will share the fourth episode with you.
