Honeysuckle (Latin scientific name: LonicerajaponicaThunb. Nickname: wisteria) is a perennial semi-evergreen twining shrub of Lonicera in Caprifoliaceae. It is distributed in most parts of China, and also produced in Japan and South Korea.
Honeysuckle shoots are slender, vines are brown to reddish brown, oval leaves are opposite, branches and leaves are dense and glandular hairy. Flowers are born in pairs in the axils of leaves, and the color is white at first, and gradually turns yellow, and yellow and white are matched with each other. Honeysuckle is adaptable, sunny, shade-tolerant, cold-tolerant, drought-tolerant, wet-loving, and has low requirements for soil, but it grows best on moist and fertile deep sandy soil.
