What is the relationship between Prince Alwaleed and King Salman of Saudi Arabia?

Prince Alwaleed

Prince Alwaleed is the nephew of the late King Fahd, known as "Bill Gates of Saudi Arabia", and is the richest man in the world except Americans.

The current king Salman is his uncle. His father, Prince Tarad, is the second1son of the founding king Ibn Saud. He was the Saudi ambassador to France and the Saudi finance minister. When Prince Tarad was young, he married Mona, the daughter of Riad Sorai, the first Lebanese Prime Minister, despite the royal opposition. Alwaleed is their second son.

When Alwaleed was 5 years old, his father was "exiled" to Egypt because of falling out with the royal family. At this point, Tarad divorced Mona. Alwaleed lives in Lebanon with his mother. As a teenager, Alwaleed was very rebellious. When he was 0/3 years old, his father sent him to study at Riyadh Military Academy in Saudi Arabia. Alwaleed's "impure" bloodline and "marginal" status make him often laughed at by other princes. From then on, he knew that it was impossible for him to enter Saudi politics.
