Skin nevus is a common skin lesion, ranging from the tip of a needle to the size of a soybean (also called a boil). The larger nevus reaches the size of a palm with black hair on it, also called a mole. Others can reach the whole limb or half of the body, also known as giant moles or animal skin moles. Moles can grow in any part of the human body, such as scalp, face, eyelids, lips, palms, trunk, limbs, genital surface and soles of feet. The mole on the face is the most striking. Although harmless, it affects the beauty of the face and even social activities. A few moles will become melanoma (extremely malignant cancer) in young and middle age, while others will become skin cancer in old age. So the mole should be removed. There are many treatments for nevus. Some treatments are unreliable, such as CO2 laser, dermabrasion, freezing, drug corrosion and so on. These therapies are prone to scar formation, recurrence and canceration after repeated treatment.
