Charming Quanzhou—Eighteen Scenes of Qingyuan Mountain
My hometown is Quanzhou. Quanzhou has a rapidly developing economy and friendly cultural landscape. I am always proud to be a Quanzhou native. After reading the book "Charming Quanzhou", I felt the richness of Quanzhou's culture.
Quanzhou is an ancient city with a long history, and everything here is full of the cultural atmosphere of the ancient city. Quanzhou is the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, one of the first national historical and cultural cities, and the first world multicultural exhibition center established by UNESCO around the world. This shows how diverse the cultural atmosphere of Quanzhou is. Come on!
Living in Quanzhou makes me proud, but what makes me most proud is the eighteen scenic spots in Quanzhou. The scenery in Quanzhou is very beautiful, which is also part of the culture of the ancient city. Among the numerous scenery in Quanzhou, these eighteen are the most charming. The eighteen scenic spots in Quanzhou are: Qingshuiyan, Tumen Street, East Lake Park, Wuli Bridge, Cai's ancient residence, Fuwen Temple, Kaiyuan Temple, Chongwu Ancient City, Luoyang Bridge, Niumulin, Qingyuan Mountain , West Lake Park, Shenhu Bay, Tianhou Temple, Gold Coast, Xiangong Mountain, Daixian Waterfall, and Zheng Chenggong's historical sites. If you have been to all of the above scenic spots, you are really blessed, because the air in these eighteen scenic spots is fresh, and frequent visits to these eighteen places are good for your body and mind.
Among these eighteen sceneries, if you want to say which one is the most famous, then I think it must be Qingyuan Mountain.
Qingyuan Mountain is a natural scenic spot located in the northern suburbs of Quanzhou. It is a national key scenic spot with a total area of 62 square kilometers. Because there are many springs on the mountain, it was named "Quanshan", which is how Quanzhou got its name. The climate on Qingyuan Mountain is warm in winter and cool in summer. The climate is warm and humid, making it suitable for tourism all year round. But among the famous Qingyuan Mountain, there is another more famous landscape - Laojun Rock.
Laojun Rock, also known as the Statue of Laojun, is one of the national key protected cultural relics and the largest existing stone statue of Laozi in the world. As a stone statue, Lao Tzu sits smiling, with a long beard and a loose Taoist robe, like a kind old man. The stone statue is so vividly carved that it looks like a giant from a distance, but you can feel its kindness and loveliness when you look up close. Qingyuan Mountain has this Laojun stone statue, which attracts many tourists every year. It is precisely because of the towering Qingyuan Mountain that Quanzhou can reflect the cultural atmosphere of this ancient city.
This is my hometown, Quanzhou. She is beautiful and full of charm. Everything here makes me intoxicated. This is Quanzhou, the cultural capital of East Asia!
