Historical weather in Mentougou

Ding Dufeng, also known as Niu Xinshan, is located in Mentougou District, Beijing, with an altitude of 680 meters. According to legend, Yao, an important official of the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, anchored the location of the Forbidden City with this mountain peak as the coordinate, laying the basic pattern of Beijing since the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

According to legend, when Judy was the prince of Yan, they climbed Niuxin Mountain together. Judy stood on the top of the mountain and looked at the great rivers and mountains. Looking east, there is a red sun in generate. He sighed with emotion: "The place where the sun rises is the birthplace of my Daming Millennium inheritance!" "Sunrise" refers to the place where the sun rises.

When he proclaimed himself emperor, he wanted to move the capital to Beijing, appointed Yao as the chief designer, built the capital in Beiping, and named the place where the sun rises to the east as the site of Jindian.

In order to find the place of "sunrise", Yao climbed Niuxin Mountain again. Looking east from Niuxin Mountain, he saw the place where the sun rose. After a series of complicated survey operations, it was used as the location of the palace. The great project of building Beijing as its capital has begun. Since then, this mountain peak has been called "Dingdu Peak".

Now, the asphalt road has been built on the mountain. If you drive, you can go directly to the gate of the scenic spot, which is very close to the summit. Climb a few steps, and you can reach the Ding Du Pavilion at the top of the mountain. This is an antique building that was built only a few years ago, and it is the work of Mentougou District to create a cultural tourism scenic spot. The building itself does not have much historical and cultural value. All the stories revolve around this mountain.

Legend has it that Judy walked around the mountain several times in those days. Looking in all directions, the Dadoucheng in the distance is as beautiful as pearls, the Yongding River winds like a dragon lying on the Yuan Ye, and the former sites of Doudian, Liangxiang, Liu Lihe and Western Zhou Dynasty are faintly discernible. The fertile fields in the east are boundless, and the mountains in the west are continuous. The Buddha's light of Tanzhe Temple, Jietai Temple and Xifeng Temple and Xia Guang complement each other. He praised: "The location and wonderful scenery of this mountain peak are unique and simply a godsend."

Today's visibility is not so far away, but when the weather is fine, looking east at the Beijing Plain, the huge Beijing City is slowly unfolding and spectacular. An east-west axis extends to a densely built place, like a straight river. If you come to see the night view, it is unique. At the beginning of the lights in Beijing, Chang 'an Avenue is like a golden dragon entering the sea. At the beginning of the lights, it slowly shines in the Longlin.

It will be more interesting if you walk. Dingdu Peak can be connected in series with many surrounding historical and cultural sites, such as Guanghui Temple, Peacock Temple, Tanzhe Temple and Jietai Temple. , and combined into a number of hiking routes.

This weekend, I went up the hill from the path near the stone field, crossed Dingdu Peak, and retreated from the east hillside to Longkou Reservoir.

At this time, the peach blossoms have faded, the new green is rising, the money is at the tip, and the unknown mountain flowers are blooming brilliantly in the east and west. First, winding along the ridge, overlooking the mountains and valleys, the whole city is open-minded and clear-headed.

During the epidemic, the Ding Du Pavilion was closed, so we retreated along the east slope of Dingdu Peak. The mountain road in Dongpo has been repaired, and there are trash cans, pavilions and wooden rest platforms along the way. Unfortunately, maintenance can't keep up. Garbage can be seen everywhere. The dustbin is either full or staggered. Rest platforms and pavilions are the hardest hit areas, which may have been cleaned for a long time.

All the way down Dongpo, there is a reservoir at the foot of Dingdu Peak, called Longkou Reservoir, also called Longkou Ash Storage Yard. Seen from a distance, the scenery is good. There are wooden plank roads and platforms next to the library. Some people put up tents, others go fishing. But near the reservoir, the water smells bad, and the mud around the lake is very fine dust. It turned out that this was a reservoir built in the 1980s to solve industrial pollution. For many years, the gray water from Shijingshan Thermal Power Plant has been directly discharged into Yongding River, and then the ash storage was built here. After the ash water is precipitated, it returns to the power plant, and the ash is burned into new building blocks for reuse. Such a scene is actually a burning ash yard of a thermal power plant. But now the water in the garage should have been treated in a certain way.

There will be a bus stop when you get off the reservoir dam. Take the 977 from here, and you will soon be able to switch between the wild forest and the bustling capital.
