Who named Qingdao?
In November of the 23rd year of Guangxu (1897), Germany sent troops to occupy Jiaoao. 1on March 6, 898, Germany coerced the Qing government to sign the lease treaty of Jiaoao. JIAOZHOU Bay records that in June,18991kloc-0/2, Kaiser Wilhelm II named the new urban area of Jiaoao Concession as Qingdao, and the scope was only a part of the present Shinan District and Shibei District, and Qingdao was only a district of the whole Jiaoao Concession.
1922, China reclaimed Jiaoao leased land from the Japanese and named it Jiaoao Commercial Port (directly under the Central Government). In the same year 1 1 month, the Regulations on Commercial Ports in Jiaoao and the Order of Qingdao Municipality on Implementing the Autonomous System were promulgated successively, which was the earliest record called Qingdao. This Qingdao city is only a part of Jiaoao Commercial Port, which is supervised by Jiaoao Commercial Port. It was not until 1929 that the Jiaoao Commercial Port Bureau was abolished and the original jurisdiction of Jiaoao Commercial Port was named Qingdao Special City. Since then, the name Qingdao has represented the whole city. Since then, although the jurisdiction has changed from time to time, the name Qingdao has been used to this day. At present, Qingdao has an area of 1 10,000 square kilometers, including seven districts of Shinan, Shibei, Sifang, Licang, Laoshan, Chengyang and Huangdao, and five cities of Jimo, Pingdu, Jiaozhou, Jiaonan and Laixi.
It can be seen that the name "Qingdao" is from island name to village name, from village name to district name, and finally to city name. Among them, it also reflects the development process of Qingdao.
