Chifeng’s scenic spots and historic sites include Chifeng Keshiketeng National Geopark. Keshiketeng National Geopark is located in Keshiketeng Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located in the Inner Mongolia Plateau, Daxinganling Mountains, and Yanshan Mountains. The unique geographical location and complex tectonic movements at the junction of the three major landforms and the docking zone between China, North Korea and the Siberian plate have created the beautiful and magical Keshiketeng Banner with rich and diverse geological relics. The protected area of Keshiketeng National Geological Park is 5,000 square kilometers, which mainly consists of Ashatu granite stone forest, Qingshan "rock mortar" group and granite peak forest, Huangganliang Quaternary glacier relics, Pingdingshan "cirque" group, Da It consists of eight types of geological and landform landscapes, including the Rinoer (Lake) volcano group, hot water hot springs, Xilamulun Grand Canyon, and Hunshandake Sand Land.
Chifeng Karaqin Banner Wangfu
It is located in Wangyefu Town, Karaqin Banner. It was first built in the 18th year of Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty (1679). Twelve generations of Karaqin kings lived here. In the Ming Dynasty, it was the Haraqin Mongolian tribe. During the Tiancong period of the Later Jin Dynasty (1627-1636), it was attached to the Later Jin Dynasty and was organized into two banners: left and right banners. Beile, the right banner of Laqin Banner, was granted the title of Prince of Prefecture in the 7th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, and was hereditary among his descendants, and was called the Banner of King Karaqin. The original Wangfu covers an area of 129 acres and has 300 houses. The main buildings include the lobby, second hall, Yimen, hall, Chengqing Building, etc. There are east-west courtyards on both sides of the central axis. The west courtyard has a family temple, ancestral hall, living room, study and martial arts training ground. The east courtyard contains a theater, bedrooms where the prince and Fujin lived, etc. The layout is orderly, the buildings are all brick and wood structures, the house is fragrant with flowers and trees, green pines and firs, and the environment is elegant and quiet. There are 108 existing houses, the main buildings are in good condition, and there are still more than 20 green pines and firs. It is now the site of the Karaqin Banner National Middle School.
Chifeng Genpi Temple
It is located in the northern part of Aruhorqin Banner, within the territory of Bayanbaoli Gesumu. With mountains on its back and plains on its belly, it is a beautiful and elegant place. Genpi Temple was built in the 20th year of Jiajing reign (1815 AD). At its peak, there were 320 lamas. During the Bingzi period, the second living Buddha Yang Song was touring various places. When he passed by this place, he saw the steep mountains, flat terrain, dense forests, fertile water and grass, and clear Feng Shui veins, so he chose this place to build a temple. There are eight white pagodas surrounding it and the mountains complement each other. You can overlook the white clouds and blue sky in the distance. The pagoda-shaped mountain tops and small streams are a unique scenery. The buildings here are grand in scale and the temples are spectacular, and their influence is very great. It has important research value on its influence on the society, economy and culture of Aqi.
Chifeng Huifu Temple
Commonly known as Dongda Temple. In Daban Town, Bahrain Right Banner. In the 45th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1706), Princess Rongxian, the second daughter of Emperor Kangxi, presided over the construction. It was first named Balsi (Tiger) Temple and later renamed Huifu Temple. It still maintains its original scale, including the main entrance, front hall, back hall, east and west side halls, and back and east side chambers. The back hall is the most complete, with five rooms each wide and deep, with double eaves resting on the top of the mountain, and Buddhist statues and murals in the hall. There are two bowl-shaped towers built in front of the hall, 4.5 meters high. Shortly after the completion of the temple, a temporary palace was built in the north of the temple to welcome Emperor Kangxi during his visit to the Bahrain grassland. The emperor came here in the 50th year of Kangxi's reign, and the site of the current palace still exists.
