Tornadoes in Inner Mongolia caused many injuries. What should I do if I encounter tornado weather?
First of all, indoors
If you happen to be indoors when the tornado strikes and you can't escape, then you can open the window as much as possible at this time, which can balance the pressure inside and outside the house and prevent the glass from being shattered or even the house from collapsing as much as possible. Then it's best to hide in the basement or a small room, face the wall, put your head in your hands and squat on the ground. Don't squat near the door or window.
Second, in the car
If you happen to be in the car when the tornado appears, you must master the vertical deviation before you can drive the car out of the wind belt. However, if you are not sure about leaving the wind belt, you'd better leave the car at once, find a low-lying environment, and lie on the ground without trees or telephone poles around to avoid electric shock or injury. Never hide in the car, otherwise it is likely to be swept away by a tornado.
Third, how to escape
If you have enough time to escape when a tornado comes, try to stay away from houses, telephone poles and trees. Then judge where the direction perpendicular to the tornado is, and quickly escape from the evacuation after confirmation. You must give priority to protecting your head when running or hiding. If there are semi-basements, bomb shelters and other environments nearby, you should hide in them quickly.
Data show that the maximum wind force of tornado can exceed 12. Trees rooted in the land are also doomed, and unstable buildings may even be destroyed in an instant. When encountering a tornado, you must first think about how to protect yourself. If the house is destroyed by blowing, all power supplies in the house must be cut off immediately to prevent electric shock.
