The meaning of light beam

Light beam is a phenomenon of light beam effect, a rare and interesting natural phenomenon, which only happens on very cold nights.

This kind of wonder mostly happens in winter nights in cold regions. When the weather is very cold, ice falls from it and forms a flat plate shaped like some ice crystals. The light reflected by ice crystals is almost completely vertical, so the light column effect is produced.

cause

This celestial phenomenon is formed by ice crystals reflecting light on a roughly horizontal plane. The light column looks like a thin column, extending vertically above and/or below the light source. When the sun is below the horizon or below the horizon, the light column is clearly visible. It usually exceeds the sun by 5 to 10 degrees and extends to form an arc. Light beams can sometimes be generated from the moon.

Like a waterfall, these beams are reflected by a lot of "glass" and fall from the sky. The thicker the ice crystal as "glass", the thicker the light beam.
