The rabbit was sunburned. How to save it?
Rescue methods of rabbits killed by sunburn
If the rabbit dies from excessive sun exposure, the breeder needs to immediately move the rabbit to a cool and ventilated place, and then apply a cold towel to the rabbit's head to cool down. If the rabbit wakes up gradually, it will usually be all right. The breeder can feed the rabbits and drink some normal saline for conditioning.
If the rabbit doesn't wake up after a short rest in the shade, it may be dehydrated by the sun. The breeder needs to put the rabbit's head flat and even keep its neck breathing smoothly. After that, he can inject some glucose for conditioning or send it to a pet hospital for treatment.
Rabbits lack sweat glands and can't be exposed to the sun for a long time in hot days, otherwise rabbits are prone to dehydration and heatstroke. It is recommended to bask in the sun for half an hour at a time in the morning and evening when the light is not strong.
