China Naming Network - Eight-character fortune telling - What's Garfield's owner's name?
What's Garfield's owner's name?
Garfield's owner is Jon Arbuckle. He likes Alice, a veterinarian, and is a cartoonist by profession, but he seldom sees him work. According to the author himself, the name Jon Abuku comes from a coffee advertisement he heard when he was a child. He also used to hang this name under the so-called "expert opinion" during the university debate. When he conceived Garfield cartoons, he felt that the name "Jon Abuku" was very suitable for the owner of a surly fat cat. His full name is mentioned in the cartoon as Jonathan Q. Haybach. Jon doesn't have many friends and lacks social activities. In high school, he was even considered as "the most likely person to date kitchen utensils". In the early days of comics, he once had a roommate named Lyman, but this character stopped playing after 1988. Jon often goes to an obscure Italian restaurant in the community and knows Irma, the manager of the restaurant.
