On the way to Yixing

-Pass through Wuxi and Suzhou and see the scenery all the way.

On the National Day of 2006, four people, including Liu Ji from Meihekou, accompanied by Zhu Hongsheng, manager of Yixing Yuan Bo Environmental Engineering Equipment Co., Ltd., went to Yixing to inspect enterprises and enjoy the scenery along the way.

When the bus passed through Mashan, Wuxi, I visited the Lingshan Giant Buddha from a distance. Lingshan Buddha is really high. The whole Buddha statue stands on the mountain, looking from a distance, giving people a solemn feeling. We didn't go to the park, just took some photos outside. According to Manager Zhu, Lingshan Giant Buddha is 88 meters high and made of more than 700 tons of bronze. I think the giant Buddha is really unusual, with a beautiful face and extraordinary spirit.

To the south of Lingshan Giant Buddha is the source pearl in Taihu Lake, standing by the lake, and several fishing boats are parked nearby; The distance is foggy, facing the lake, breezy and cool. Originally, I wanted to go to Yuantouzhu, but time was too tight, so I could only enjoy the scenery of Taihu Lake here. I remember going to the round-headed bamboo once when I first joined the work, but my impression has long been polished by years. I only remember a poem by Chairman Mao carved on the mountain, and I visited the building where King Sihanouk drank tea. I don't remember anything else. I really hope to see it again sometime.

Leave Taihu Lake and go straight to Suzhou, where we will have dinner. On the way, I passed Shantang Street, made a short stop and visited the world-famous "Qili Shantang". This is an ancient street with a history of nearly 1200 years, which not only retains the pattern of "land and water parallel, river and street adjacent", but also has a profound cultural heritage of Gusu everywhere. Thick slate, quaint stone strips, high cornices, mottled courtyard walls, brick-carved gatehouses and quiet Gu Xiang seem to bring tourists into the long river of history. Shantang ancient street, antique, ancient dwellings, simple folk customs, protective buildings abound; Tang San Guild Hall, Taohuawu New Year Picture Museum, Wu Yun Teahouse, Suzhou Embroidery Museum, Wood Carving Museum, Stone Museum and Woodware Shop are lined up; The ancient stage, Kunqu Opera Hall, Calligraphy Garden, Huangpubs, Costume Hall, Fire Fighting Club and Post Office are all available, and it deserves to be called "the first street in Gusu". That day, I was catching up with a couple of young people taking wedding photos. I peeked at the bride. She is really beautiful and should be called "the beauty of the world, out of Suzhou and Hangzhou". Zhang Liwen and I went there to take some photos to feast our eyes, but later I heard that he accidentally deleted the photos. Who knows? Maybe it's for your own appreciation! Strolling around the old street for a while, I also feel a little incongruous. The old street, antique houses, classical clubs, modern signs and neon lights make people feel a bit neither fish nor fowl.

During the dinner, Manager Zhu introduced Suzhou's famous "three whites", namely white fish, white shrimp and whitebait. "Three whites" is characterized by "freshness". Among the "three whites", white fish is the largest, but compared with other fish, it is still a "pediatrics". White fish is more precious. In ancient times, it was a special tribute. The fish is slender and silvery, and the commonly used methods are: stewed, fried, fish balls and so on. No matter what you do, the fish is white, tender and delicious. White shrimp, with a transparent shell, is said to be "the white shrimp in Taihu Lake is the best in the world, and it is still white when cooked". It tastes tender and delicious. Whitebait, shaped like Hosta, has no thorns and no intestines. Generally made into soup, it tastes fresh.

After dinner, we went to the Humble Administrator's Garden, and we also went there when we first joined the work. I remember it was a very beautiful garden. Humble Administrator's Garden is located in the northeast street of Loumen, Suzhou, covering an area of 60 mu. It is a classical garden built at the beginning of15th century, and it is the representative of classical gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. Humble Administrator's Garden got its name from the meaning of Pan Yue, a scholar in Jin Dynasty, "Irrigation of the garden to eat day and night is also a humble administrator's garden". It is "the best private garden in China", and it is also known as the four famous gardens in China with the Summer Palace, chengde mountain resort and Suzhou Lingering Garden. The whole park is divided into three parts: east, middle and west. The overall layout is characterized by sparse east and dense west, surrounded by green water, and the water surface area accounts for about 1/3 of the whole park area. Water is the bond and soul of the whole park. The open and flat hilly grassland in the east is dotted with pavilions and pavilions such as Zhuwu Qushui, Furong Tree and Tian Quan Pavilion. Lanxiangtang is the main hall in the east, and Qi Diao's Panorama of Humble Administrator's Garden hangs on the south side of the screen door in the middle of the hall, which melts the whole garden scenery into a wall. The central part is dominated by Yuanxiangtang, with Ming Xiu's landscapes, pavilions and lush flowers and trees, which are the essence of the whole park. Entering the central garden from the east, a clear pool comes into view, with towering ancient trees and weeping willows, beautiful lakes and mountains. There are many halls on the south side of the pool. Chibei Rock Island, which is connected by bridges and streams, has centuries-old maple trees, mountains, water, rocks, ponds, forests, pavilions and churches. People say: If you go to Suzhou, a paradise on earth, how can you not visit Humble Administrator's Garden? Indeed, coming here makes people want to go back and forth.

After a short walk in Humble Administrator's Garden, I turned to Tiger Hill. Huqiu Mountain is located 7 kilometers west of Suzhou. In 496 BC, He Lv, the king of Wu, died of tetanus and was buried in this mountain. Three days after entering the cave, a white tiger crouched on the tomb, hence the name Tiger Hill. The most famous one here is Tiger Hill and Sword Pond, which is said to have been written by Yan Zhenqing, a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. According to legend, at that time, there were 3,000 fish intestine swords and other swords used for martyrdom of He Lv, the king of Wu, hence the name Jianchi. There is a stone well on the mountain, which is said to have been dug by Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty. It is called "Lu Yujing". Lu Yu is the author of China's first tea book "Tea Classic". I am very interested in calligraphy there. On the way to Tiger Hill, I can see Hanhan Spring, Sword Test Stone, True Mother's Tomb, Thousand Stone, Sword Pool, Erxian Pavilion and Nodding Stone made by King Wu. In front of the towering Tiger Hill, we took photos as a souvenir. It is called "Leaning Tower of Pisa" in China. We walked into the tower with simple masonry and exquisite workmanship, but now there are restrictions on walking routes to protect cultural relics.

That night, we arrived in Yixing and checked into Yixing International Hotel. Chairman Zhu of Hengbo received us, and he invited a deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and the mayor there to accompany us. The scene is grand and highly praised. It is said that there are dozens of hairy crabs in Taihu Lake, and we all ate four or five, which is too hidden.

Yixing, known as Yangxian in ancient times, is located on the west bank of Taihu Lake at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, in the center of Shanghai and Ning Hang, and is a bright pearl in the Yangtze River Delta. The land of 2039 square kilometers has a history of more than 5000 years. China's famous pottery beans and Yixing teapot art are well-known at home and abroad. When he left, President Zhu gave each of us a purple sand plate. Although we don't know how to identify it, we believe it is the most authentic purple sand product. During my stay in Yixing, I heard that there was a Tian Ping Palace, so I went there. Unfortunately, I caught up with the renovation and failed to do so. I only took one photo outside, which is a trip here. According to historical records, in April of 1860, the Taiping Army entered Yixing County, and a mansion named Shi (when the Shi family had fled) was converted into a palace. During this period, Yang Fuqing, Li Xiucheng, Li Shixian, Liu, Fan Ruzeng, Huang, Dai, Lian Ye, Li Yuan and other Taiping Heavenly Kingdom generals appeared successively. Now it has become a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit and Yixing exhibition hall.

The scenery along the way is really beautiful, but it's just a cursory look and digress. I hope I can enjoy it next time!
