Liu Yong: Secret work.

Liu Yong: Secret work.

Some people are particularly appreciated by their superiors, probably because of their tone of voice.

Some students are especially liked by teachers, probably because of the way they sit in class.

Some salesmen have excellent performance, probably because they know how to choose seats.

Some people take pictures especially well, probably because they can pick up the lights.

Some artists can become kings, perhaps because they know how to cultivate Qi.

Some companies give people a good first impression, probably because the switchboard lady will say hello.

Working hard where people don't pay attention can give people an unspeakable good impression.

You have to work hard in secret to get to your heart!

One day when I was drinking coffee in the school cafeteria, I saw a group of students shouting and dancing around the TV. It turned out that I was watching a program to select youth idols.

You probably all dream of becoming youth idols, right? I went up to them jokingly and asked them. I didn't expect a dozen boys and girls to answer loudly together: Yes!

I was dazed for a moment, and then asked: Did you learn while watching?

Sure! We are imitating. The student said.

Only imitation? I asked.

Start with imitation! A girl asked with wide eyes, didn't she?

I smiled: there is nothing wrong. But besides imitation, you have to analyze. I pointed to several female presenters on TV, like her just now. She raised her head to the right and made a handsome gesture with her left hand, which made her power suddenly exert itself to the left and right, which was both youthful and energetic and attracted the attention of the audience.

In the middle of my speech, the students cried. Oh, my God! There is so much learning! Pointing at the TV, the question is, has anyone taught her?

It may have been taught before, or it may be that someone gives her advice every time she goes on the show.

I am not exaggerating. Almost every successful artist, speaker and communicator has worked hard. Even acting geniuses have to grope bit by bit to get ahead.

I was trained by experts bit by bit, groped by myself bit by bit, and passed it on to my students bit by bit, so that my students won not only the championships in Taiwan Province and Taipei Putonghua and English speech contests, but also the championships in Taiwan Province poetry recitation contest, and even my son won the first prize in new york English speech contest in high school.

I tutor no more than ten students one-on-one, and two of them can't even make it to the semi-finals before I train.

I don't say this to show off, but to tell you that the principle of speaking is the same all over the world, whether in Chinese or English, whether in speech, reading or general communication, the principle is similar. The most important thing is not to learn only the superficial fur, but to strengthen it fundamentally.

When you have a good foundation, even if Mandarin is not up to standard, your words can still be touching, and you can still become a first-class speaker and communicator.

It can also be said that the fundamental kung fu of speaking is not necessarily beautiful timbre and standard Mandarin, but many things are in it:

It is the influence of breath, momentum, charm and subconscious, and it is also the control of the environment and the grasp of the opportunity. You must work hard where you can't see it, in order to give people an indescribable touch. Therefore, I often say that sneaking into the heart is sneaking around, using your wonderful speaking skills to create the best communication environment and secretly grab other people's hearts.

This book is about these subtle things, from the first word hello when answering the phone, to the method of teaching you to hold your breath, and even to the reason why someone can win the world on horseback, but can't rule the world from behind a desk, and the potential influence of life background on speaking.

It also analyzes the influence of seat direction, lighting angle and body inclination on communication effect bit by bit, even as small as how to put on socks, unbutton and lift the collar.

Because there are many seemingly mysterious things, I gave a bunch of examples and even analyzed Feng Shui, movements, public psychology and behavioral language. To prove that I'm not talking about metaphysics, but science.

If you have read the book "Keep Words in Your Heart" published by me in the Millennium, you may remember that I once said in the postscript:

I plan to write four books, the first and second episodes are about social speech and general language skills, and the third episode is about humorous skills. These three books are all excellent books. As for the fourth episode, it has been six years since it belonged to Temperament and Eloquence, and two books have been published. Teaching you humor to your heart was also completed in 2003. Only the fourth episode I mentioned has not been released yet.

Now I can tell you that this thing I have studied for more than 30 years has finally turned into words. In order to make everyone accept it, I hide all the theories behind the vivid story and tell it in the most common language like face-to-face chat.

I dare not expect you to accept my idea 100%, but I absolutely believe that in the process of reading, you will stop again and again and try my suggestions.

Those may be things that you have never thought of before, but they are enough to affect your life.
