Beijing Miyun, a beautiful castle, a beautiful homestay, is a good place for summer vacation.
Yaoqiao Castle is located in Yaoqiaoyu Village, Xinchengzi Town, Miyun County, Beijing. It is the only well-preserved Ming Dynasty castle around Beijing.
Now the descendants of the soldiers stationed at the border live in the castle. Now there are 60 villagers, most of whom are folk tourists. It is also a unique Yaoqiaobao folk village.
The castle is surrounded by mountains in the north and the Andamu River in the south. In early winter and early spring, this place needs a bridge to cross. Because of the instability of the bridge, it was named "rocking bridge", and later it was homophonic as "remote bridge"!
Yaoqiao Castle was built in the 26th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty to defend the border. Its two doors are called the city, and there is only one door here, so it is called the castle!
This city is123m long from east to west,102m wide from north to south, with a wall height of 7m and a top width of 4m. It takes the Jingyang Building in Yunxiu Valley as its eyes and ears, echoing the Great Wall Watchtower from Simatai to Caojia Road in the east, which was of great strategic value at that time!
Most people live in castles, and most of them are beautifully decorated. Visitors can go door to door to find their favorite courtyard. The courtyard here can be rented as a whole or independently. Teams and individuals have suitable apartment types, and the house price here is much lower than that of Gubei Water Town not far away!
Not far from the castle, there is a beautiful reservoir, Yaoqiaoyu Reservoir. The reservoir area is small, but surrounded by mountains, the lake is deep and green, like a jewel falling from the sky, with green mountains and green waters reflected in it, which is very quiet and beautiful.
As night falls, the lights are on, tourists come back one after another, and the city walls are full of excitement. Eating a pot of delicious hearth fish on the terrace, watching the sunset, the distant mountains become hazy!
After dinner, I walked out of the castle and walked slowly along Zhonghaoer's village. There are no dazzling neon lights. I looked up at the stars, looked at the running water of the river, and looked at the unknown insects singing in the grass. It felt like a peach blossom garden!
The night in the castle is surprisingly quiet, and there is no dream of dawn all night!
Wake up in the morning, cross the streets and fields, climb the mountain opposite the castle, and see Yaoqiaoyu Reservoir shrouded in mist. Charlie's ethereal singing seems to linger in his ears. If there is a misty rain in life, there is no wind!
Coming down from the mountain, delicious corn porridge and crispy fried cakes have been served, and a beautiful day has come!
Friends who come to Yaoqiao Castle suggest that you must stay here for one night, because both the night view at the beginning of Deng Hua and the ink landscape in the early morning are worth appreciating. The Yunxiu Valley Hunting Natural Scenic Area is opposite the castle, so you can go together. It's not far from Wuling Xifeng, Wulingshan Forest Park and Gubei Water Town, half an hour's drive from here!
Friends who come here just need to navigate in the distant bridge fort. There is a parking lot in front of the castle, but at special times, friends who want to come here suggest making an appointment in advance!
I'm in March, recording the minority scenic spots and hiking routes in Beijing with video and text!
