The origin of the name of Xinglong county

In the second year of Qing Shunzhi (1645), 8 square kilometers of Xinglong Fiona Fang was designated as the Houlong Feng Shui Forbidden Area of Malan Dongling, which was closed for more than 27 years. After the ban was lifted in 1915, merchants from Beijing, Tianjin and other places rushed here to set up forest harvesting and planting bureaus and shops. At one time, merchants gathered and their business flourished, forming a market town. Because it is surrounded by mountains, it was called Xinglong Mountain by people at that time. Xinglong county was established in 1925, named after the mountain. According to "County Flag Affairs in Jehol Province": Xinglong Mountain is behind Xinglong Street, just like a screen, which is the land behind the Qing imperial tomb. In the name of Xinglong, it means "the dragon prospers according to this".
