Liu Dongliang Marriage Fengshui
At present, it should be said that gourd is a typical representative of "taking feng shui for granted" Nowadays, feng shui is taken for granted everywhere in society, especially in Hong Kong. The so-called feng shui, which is taken for granted, is to say whatever you want. There is no theoretical basis, just say what it is, not why. I call this feng shui "Feng Shui for granted". The gourd is a natural feng shui ornament. Because, I can't find its geomantic basis, its geomantic principle.
Gourd should be the product of folk beliefs, not really from Feng Shui. Because the gourd is also called Pulu, which is homophonic for "Fulu" and broomcorn millet, its branches are called tendrils, and the homophonic for "Wandai", so the homophonic for Pulu tendrils is "Fulu Wandai", which is a symbol of good luck. This should be the beginning of gourd as a feng shui decoration.
Gourd is not only homophonic, but also related to medicine. Because, in ancient Taoism, there was a gourd filled with Dan medicine, and this is reflected in The Journey to the West, that is, the gourd filled with Dan medicine by Taishang Laojun. Because of this, the gourd has become a symbol of medicine. In ancient times, hanging a gourd to save the world represented a doctor. Now the logo of Yunnan Baiyao adopts the shape of a gourd. That's why.
In addition, the gourd also has the function of storing things. For example, Jigong uses the gourd to hold wine. Tie Guai Li also uses gourds to hold wine.
Immortals not only use gourds to hold wine and elixirs, but also collect evil spirits and monsters. The King of Silver Horn and the King of Golden Horn in The Journey to the West, their magic weapon is the gourd stolen from the old gentleman. Who can accept anything? The cartoon "Gourd Baby" in which several gourds fight against goblins comes from such myths and legends.
The above three points, homophonic, can cure diseases and collect evil spirits, which is probably the source of gourd as a feng shui decoration. But, to be honest, it has little to do with Feng Shui. So far, in authentic Feng Shui books, we haven't seen the words that use gourd as Feng Shui ornaments. Of course, I'm talking about ancient feng shui books, not feng shui books written by some contemporary feng shui masters.
So, does gourd have feng shui function? Is it true that as some people now publicize, the town house can ward off evil spirits and attract wealth, and the gourd seller on Taobao also said that it can enhance the relationship between husband and wife, have more children and be blessed, and ward off evil spirits.
I don't understand how gourd can "enhance the relationship between husband and wife"
There should be two main functions of gourd: one is psychological suggestion. The other, in terms of form and meaning, has the meaning of acceptance. This has certain feng shui significance. The so-called geomantic omen, in which the mind is wind-driven and the object is water and geomantic omen, is the mutual influence and interaction between the self-mind and external objects (this is my original words, please correct me if it is incorrect).
Therefore, feng shui is embodied in two aspects, tangible and intangible. The tangible feng shui is called Luan Tou, and the intangible feng shui is called Li Qi. Now there is another saying that the internal five elements, that is, the role of mind. At present, the feng shui significance of gourd is more the function of spiritual consciousness, that is, psychological suggestion. For feng shui, there will be some influence, but to be honest, it has little influence.
The positive significance of gourd seems to lack empirical evidence. In other words, I haven't seen any practical examples of enhancing the relationship between husband and wife, having more children and grandchildren, making money or ward off evil spirits (I am a positivist).
The positive meaning of gourd lacks examples, but its negative meaning is controversial. The scripture of the Golden Lock Guan Yu School mentioned that "If it looks like a gourd, Ai Lang should be afraid of her", which is about purple sand. The north likes sand. Sand is a geomantic term, which means Yang. In the north, there are three mountains: Ren, Zi and Gui. In the north, the sun is shining and the sand is good. But if due north, that is, Zi Shan sees sand, and this sand looks like a gourd, it will be in trouble. "Short Lang should be afraid of her." Why? Gourd in the north hurts the kidney! Because the north is the ridge, the ridge is the middle male, and the middle male hurts the kidney and the sexual function is impaired. Isn't it three points shorter in front of women? This is why "Short Lang should be afraid of her"!
When talking about Renshui, he said: "It is shaped like a gourd, and it is also responsible for the injury of the waist (the inside of the stomach)." That is to say, if there is a gourd shape (or gourd) in the mountain, you will get stomach disease and waist disease, and the kidney is behind the waist, so there is no contradiction between kidney injury and waist injury. Kan governs the kidney, so it will hurt the kidney. Why does it hurt your stomach? Because the location of the pit is congenital Kun, and Kun is the stomach, so the stomach will also be injured.
Putting the gourd in other positions has little effect, but its positive significance varies from person to person, depending on your own opinion. However, there are two directions that cannot be released. One is north and the other is west. You can't put gourds in the north. There are definite words in this book. At the same time, Liu Dongliang also cited some examples. Why not put it on the west side? This is my play. Because, in the west, it is an innate hurdle, and the acquired hurdle can't put a gourd. The innate hurdle is of course taboo. Therefore, it cannot be placed in the west.
Like this case, the eldest sister has a voice problem and hung two gourds on the western wall. I don't think it is right. There are two reasons. First, the West, with congenital obstacles, should not be hung up. The other is a gourd, which is thin and not smooth in the middle, and its shape is similar to that of the throat. This is what Feng Shui calls evil form.
Mr. Liu Dongliang said: "Every word in the Feng Shui formula is often obtained by many people at great cost and blood." . It's true! "What kind of geomantic omen causes duodenal cancer and back pain?" This is a case I have seen before. There are many gourds in the north of my home. My father has duodenal cancer and backache.
Liu Dongliang said in the article: "If there is a gourd-shaped object or pool in the north of the living room or office, it is easy to cause waist and leg injuries. The most prone time to attack is the meridian day. This is why I haven't figured it out yet, but there are phenomena and many examples. " Lumbar and renal diseases caused by gourd usually occur on the day of meridian. My sister's throat disease happened at noon.
