What is the relationship between Jianmenguan and Emei Mountain?

Jianmenguan and Emei Mountain are both famous tourist attractions in Sichuan! Everyone in Emei Mountain has probably heard a lot! Especially all kinds of novels have brought this place! The relationship between Mount Emei and Mount Wudang in Jin Yong Li has always been complementary! But when it comes to this sword gate, what is the connection between the two!

Jianmenguan and Emei Mountain, seemingly unrelated, are actually related. The ancients used "one person's strength is above ten thousand people" to describe the danger of sword gate closure. Zhuge Liang, commander-in-chief of Shu's northern expedition to the Central Plains during the Three Kingdoms period, led six troops out of Jianmen, which is this mountain. Therefore, the great poets in the Tang Dynasty only have: it is difficult to learn from the Shu Road, but it is difficult to go to the sky.

Jianmenguan, located in the south of Jiange County, Sichuan Province, is located at the intermittent place of the big and small Jianshan Mountains, and there are core attractions such as Yixiantian, Tiandi Gorge plank road, Bird Road or Ape Road, glass observation deck and building viewing. When I lived in Chengdu in April, I always wanted to visit this mountain freely. Unfortunately, for various reasons, I have never had this desire.

Why go to Jianmenguan? One is thinking of meeting Wu Zetian. Guangyuan belongs to Jiange, the hometown of Wu Cairen. I want to see the feng shui trend of the birthplace of the first American emperor in China history. Secondly, I want to pay tribute to Zhu Gekongming. Because he opened this pass.

During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of Shu and Han Dynasties, took Hande County (now Hanyang Town) as an ancient military pass. Zhu Gekongming has always been an example for scholars all over the world with his spirit of "devoting all his efforts to death".

What is the relationship between Jianmenguan and Emei Mountain? First, they are all four famous mountains in Sichuan.

As the ancients said, there are four famous places in Shu. From east to west, there are the names of Kuimen, Emei, Qingcheng and Jiange.

I traveled all over Sichuan, and the other three mountains left footprints, only looking up at the sword gate, not entering.

As we all know, in the ancient legend of Jinniu Road from Qin to Shu, you must enter through Jianmenguan, which is known as the first pass in the world and is a battleground for military strategists in past dynasties. As we all know, Mount Emei is located in Leshan City, Sichuan Province, China. Isn't Zhou Zhiruo in Emei Mountain in Jin Yong's Decimal "Eternal Dragon Slayer"? What a beautiful mountain! Because of the steep terrain, the scenery is beautiful.

The second is the causal relationship of Buddha. However, Emei Mountain is one of the "four famous Buddhist mountains" in China, except for its beautiful color. Many Buddha statues, shrines and Buddhist monks on the mountain arrived in Emei Mountain from the mainland and passed through Jianmenguan. For example, there is a huge bronze statue of Pu Xian on the top of Wanfo Mountain, which is 62 tons in respect and 7.85 meters high. Today, it is enshrined in Wannian Temple and becomes a masterpiece among the Buddha statues in Emei Mountain. For thousands of years, Mount Emei, known as the "Pu Xian Dojo", is also known as the four famous Buddhist mountains in China along with Wutai Mountain in Shanxi, Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang and Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui.

However, this Buddha statue was sent to India in the middle of the 9th century by a Buddhist group led by a monk after doing business in Zhao Kuangyin, Song Taizu. After returning home, he followed his business and came to Emei Mountain to build a Buddhist temple. From Kaifeng, Henan, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, it crossed the Shu Road in Qinling Mountains, entered Jianmen and reached Emei. After many hardships, I became a Buddhist holy land.

From the perspective of Buddhism, can you say that Emei Mountain has nothing to do with Jianmenguan?

Of course, there is a high-speed rail connection between Emei Mountain and Jianmenguan, and it is very convenient to walk between the two places with Chengdu as a transit point. I think other netizens have already introduced this information, so I won't repeat it.
