On June 9, 2007, Jiangsu Meteorological Observatory upgraded and issued an orange rainstorm warning signal at 01/kloc-0. By noon, the rainfall in Nanjing, Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi and northern Suzhou has exceeded 50 mm, and the rainfall in some areas of Nanjing, Zhenjiang and Changzhou has exceeded 100 mm. It is expected that the heavy precipitation in these areas will continue in the next 6 hours.

The reporter learned from official website of Nanjing Lukou International Airport that as of 1 1, the rainstorm has caused three flights to be cancelled and 75 flights to be delayed.

The three cancelled flights are: China International Airlines CA8957 from Nanjing to Changsha, China Hainan Airlines HU7273 from Nanjing to Fujian, and Okay Airways BK2793 from Nanjing to Guilin.

At present, the rainfall in most areas of the city, Pukou, Jiangning and Lishui has reached100 mm. It is estimated that there will be 30-60 mm rainfall in some areas of the city, Jiangning, Pukou, Liuhe and Lishui in the next three hours.
