Master Jingjie: Why does the Land of Ultimate Bliss show such a state of solemnity and peace?

One of the characteristics of our Pure Land Sect is that it is a method that is created by others. In other words, the characteristic of this method is a method of correspondence with the deity. In the entire process of learning, we must think of all All methods are used to make our thoughts correspond to the Buddha's mind, and to be in harmony with the Tao.

This principle of sensing the connection between the Tao and the Tao, Goode once said, "If you can think about the emptiness of nature, it is unimaginable to sense the connection between the Tao and the Tao." How do we interact with Amitabha Buddha? Because the nature of the mind we can recite and the Buddha we recite are empty and peaceful, from the perspective of equality and non-duality between self and others, so as soon as your thoughts move, you will feel the connection between Tao and Tao.

Zen Master Chewu said, "In fact, the connection between the path of induction and communication is connected with the ten dharma realms." If your mind often remembers the sins of killing, stealing, and sexual intercourse, you will have communication with the path of induction of the three evil realms; our hearts If we always respond to giving and observing the precepts, we will be in touch with the dharma realm of humans and heaven.

So now we can continue to recall Amitabha’s forty-eight vows. In fact, we are creating our future merits, which is to communicate with Amitabha. You will definitely see the Buddha when you come. If you can constantly think about and observe these forty-eight vows, all the merits of these forty-eight vows will appear in your life.

We talked about the solemnity of the land earlier, and this place talks about physical and mental well-being. The solemnity of this land is about repayment. Master Ou Yi said that the land of repayment is based on five dusts, and the five dusts are touched by color, sound, fragrance, and fragrance. So how do we remember these five objects?

We can remember it from two directions: first, it is the phase of peace and happiness; second, it is the phase of liberation.

You see, we talked about the five objects in the Paradise, including palaces, pavilions, and precious trees. Basically, the environment you live in is bright. This color object is particularly special. , there is no darkness in the Paradise. You must know that there is no night in the Paradise, it is all daytime, because the Paradise is infinitely bright;

Second, it is a world full of fragrance, and every day in the Paradise is A place is full of sandalwood: the fragrance is solemn.

The third, the Paradise, has all kinds of wonderful heavenly happiness.

So we know from the sutras and commentaries that the peace and happiness of the five objects in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, light, fragrance, and music, these three objects are particularly special. This so-called peace and happiness means that when our heart comes into contact with the five objects, it feels comfortable and happy, and we should think in this direction.

Second, it is a form of liberation. These five dusts can speak wonderful Dharma and grow good roots. You see what we saw earlier, when the light of the Paradise illuminates your body and mind, your body and mind are softer than those of heavenly beings.

What is this soft phase? It is to eliminate karma. If you look at a person with heavy worries, his muscles are tense. If you are tense, when the light of the Paradise shines on you and the karma is eliminated, your body and mind will become soft.

Second, its fragrance, Bodhisattvas who hear it all practice Buddhist practice. After you smell the fragrance, you can naturally practice paramitas. Look at the Jeweled Trees in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. When the breeze blows, the wind blows the tree. For example, hundreds of thousands of kinds of music are playing at the same time. Anyone who hears the music will naturally have the intention to recite the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. The sound can also inspire you to recite the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha, a Taoist mind.

Master Lianchi’s "Amitabha Sutra" raises a question: The Land of Ultimate Bliss has the phase of peace and happiness and the phase of liberation. Since the Paradise of Ultimate Bliss was established for the path of Bodhi, the phase of liberation will directly appear. Okay, why do you want to show this kind of solemn and peaceful appearance? Isn't this unnecessary? It is a conditioned dharma, after all, it is empty!

Master Lianchi said: The appearance of peace and happiness in the planning process of the Paradise has two meanings:

The first one is that it appears to those who have developed sharp weapons. Because after this Bodhisattva has lived in the Land of Ultimate Bliss for a long time, he often gets close to and makes offerings to the Buddhas. He has merits and virtues, and he has paramitas. None of the Bodhisattvas appear to be very thin or shabby. This kind of Bodhisattva's appearance is all solemn, because it has paramitas, and it is very natural.

So the solemnity of the Land of Ultimate Bliss shows that this Bodhisattva has merits and virtues. Unlike Hinayana, he only observes all dharmas and emptiness. He has various paramitas in all dharmas and emptiness. Of course, you cannot see his inner heart. world, but what about? Show it through appearance.

So the majesty of the Paradise is, as far as Lao Shen is concerned, a manifestation of his merits. You said that he was reborn with karma. He had committed five rebellions and ten evils in the Saha world and only repented on his deathbed. How could he be used in the Paradise of Ultimate Bliss?

He said: For the sake of people with middle and lower abilities, let them have hope. It’s like saying, that’s right. You have just been born into the Paradise, and you are enjoying the light and fragrance with everyone in that place. What is this called? Enjoy now and pay later.

You see, I have no money, but I will have money one day, right? I will buy this house first. After buying it, I will use this house to make money, and I will use this house to open a store. Due to various reasons, eh, one day I can buy this house, okay, this is called installment payment (ha).

That is to say, after you go to the Land of Ultimate Bliss, you will have no qualifications at the beginning. You are using the qualifications given to you by the Buddha, but it doesn’t matter. You are just cultivating the truth through falsehood. If you have the majesty of such a paradise, you will be able to get close to and make offerings to the Buddhas. One day you will be like your senior, worthy of the name.

So for a person of middle or lower level, first let him have a desire for joy.

First use the hook of desire, and then let him enter the Buddha's wisdom.

So this merit and virtue phase: as far as the Lao Shen Bodhisattva is concerned, it is worthy of the name. He has this merit and virtue, and it will naturally appear; as for a beginner Bodhisattva, borrow the Buddha's merit and virtue, borrow it first, One day you will also have the ability to manifest such merits:

So the solemn merits and virtues of the Paradise have two meanings. For us, when we first die, we are still exposed to the light of Amitabha, but as long as you have the resultant body, you will be able to manifest it yourself one day.
