How to move up and down among the eight houses?

The eight houses are composed of eight directions, namely, the four directions of southeast, northwest and four directions, the four corners of southeast, southwest, northeast and northwest, with Bagua, sitting on the hill.

The basic concept of Yangzhai is to carry yin and embrace yang, which is equivalent to having a mountain on your back and facing water (yin on the mountain and yang on the water), that is, leaning toward the high and facing the low.

In urban construction, roads are regarded as virtual water and the biggest yang, so they do not necessarily rely on high to low. Therefore, the ups and downs of the eight houses become complicated. Modern commercial houses, I-shaped houses and diamond houses, have bizarre shapes, making the layout of the eight houses more complicated.

Around 2000, there was a Feng Shui master named Su Minfeng in Hong Kong who advocated directly using the opposite direction of the entrance door. Some people objected and advocated using the largest balcony or the largest window as the orientation.

It is actually a dispute between the direction of the house and the direction of the door. Sometimes the direction of the house is the direction of the door, and sometimes the direction of the house is not the direction of the door. The eighth house should be oriented with the direction of the house.

For a house with north to south orientation, the entrance door is due east. Up north and down south are a general concept. If there is a balcony facing south, it should still be called Kanzhai. If there is no balcony or large windows facing south, it should be called Duizhai.
