The scissor door models are quite handsome. Let’s talk about the three scissor door models?
The scissor door comes from its opening mode which is similar to the action of scissors. To be precise, it is a door that is hinged on the front fender and opens upward. By far the scissor door manufacturer we are most familiar with is the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini. But it was not Lamborghini who first used scissor doors, but Alfa Romeo. The Alfa Romeo Carabo concept car first appeared at the 1968 Paris Motor Show. The chassis and power system are based on the famous Alfa Romeo Tipo33, using a rear-drive layout with a central V-type 8-cylinder engine. The corner wedge design was later used for mass production of the Lancia Strasas, and the hinged scissor doors were later adopted permanently by the Lamborghini Cantata.
Why did Broadcom name itself Carabo? Named after a beetle in the family Scarabaeidae, the car is a carabo-like bug covered in green and red gold. The Aventador is a beautiful supercar, more like a GT car than its predecessor in terms of violence and wildness. Aventador's name comes from a bull. He is one of the bravest bulls in Spanish bullfighting. He competed for the first time in the Zaragoza Bullring and received the Peña Madrora Trio Award for his bravery and extraordinary performance. Maybe you will have a feeling for Aventador, with the legendary Countach's double scissor doors and extremely graceful and impactful body, and you even imagined that Aventador is the mass-produced version of Reventon.
Although Bugatti is mentioned now, we are still very prestigious, but don’t forget its predecessor EB110. Among the many beautiful cars, the Bugatti EB110, which was born in 1991, is the most memorable. It was born to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the birth of Ettore Bugatti, the founder of the French Bugatti company. No matter which direction you look at EB110, you can feel its unique temperament. The circular arch-like design under the logo is Bugatti’s signature element. As a classic supercar of the turbo era, the EB110 is really proud of its 3.5L V12 quad-turbocharged engine behind the driver's seat. The EB110 was produced in extremely rare quantities, with only 139 units produced. Produced for only 4 years, the EB110 is one of the most classic models before Bugatti Veyron.
Usually in people’s minds, Canada and supercars seem to be unable to think together, but the Canadian HTT Technology Company broke this idea. They developed and manufactured a product called HTT Pressol LC-750 supercar. The door adopts the same scissor door design as Lamborghini, and the interior of the car reproduces the seat design of McLaren F1. The Pressol LC-750 is equipped with the LS9 6.2-liter V8 supercharged engine from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.
