Several well-known fishing additives
When the false becomes true, the true is also false. There is a strange phenomenon in the fishing world. Some fishing additives are very famous. Many fishing friends have used them, but they all feel that they have no effect. Sometimes they cannot catch fish after using them. It is better not to use them. Why is this? Next, let’s talk about these fishing additives in detail.
1. Asafoetida. There is a folk proverb: "Scutellaria baicalensis is not false, asafoetida is not true", which means that skullcap is not false and asafoetida is not true. The so-called asafoetida now is an Apiaceae plant produced in Xinjiang, which is essentially different from the traditional asafoetida. Li Shizhen wrote in "Compendium of Materia Medica": "There are two types of Asafoetida, grass and wood. It may be said that its fat is the most poisonous, and people dare not go near it. Every time when picking, tie a sheep under the tree and shoot it from a distance. The fat is If it poisons the sheep, the dead sheep will be called asafoetida." There is also a saying that after a person dies, asafoetida is placed in the coffin. After a few days, the body decomposes and the corpse water seeps out from the corners of the coffin. The Chinese name is asafoetida. From this, A Wei’s statement can be supported. After fish laboratory testing, it was found that the odor of Asafoetida will be counterproductive to carp and crucian carp that like fragrance. It not only fails to attract fish, but also repels fish. Plant Asafoetida fishing has no substantial effect and is purely a rumor.
2. Musk. Most fishermen have used muscat wine, especially when fishing crucian carp, it is the most widely used. However, in fact, it is not musk that has the effect of luring fish in musk wine, but liquor, because alcohol is a natural odor carrier and can absorb the fragrance in the bait and then release it to lure fish. Musk is insoluble in water and is slightly soluble in alcohol solutions above 75 degrees. However, there is no liquor above 75 degrees on the market. Even if musk is soaked in liquor above 75 degrees, after the bait enters the water, the concentration of musk wine will increase. After being diluted instantly, the musk is in an insoluble state again and cannot be dissolved in water. The smell cannot be released in the water and has no fish luring effect at all. Therefore, the so-called musk fishing is purely a gimmick and has no scientific basis. .
3. Vitamins. Many fishing friends also use vitamins to brew fishing wine rice, mainly vitamin B, but basically have no obvious effect. In fact, most freshwater fish do not like the smell of vitamin B. Things that are beneficial to the body may not necessarily smell good and taste good. Otherwise, we humans would just eat starches, fats, vitamins, and proteins. Why would we need to eat high-end ingredients? Woolen cloth? Because taste and nutritional value are two different things.
4. Amino acids. Amino acid fishing and vitamins are basically the same. There are many types of amino acids. Some individual types of amino acids with sour or sweet taste have a certain effect on improving the palatability of fishing bait. However, most amino acids are not suitable for fishing. Only Only experts who are proficient in ichthyology and odorology understand this truth.
5. DMPT. It is no exaggeration to say that DMPT fishing is the biggest scam in the fishing world. It has even been written into the encyclopedia. I believe that the vast majority of fishing friends have used DMPT, but everyone agrees that adding it normally has no effect. If you add a little too much, the nest will be dead and you won’t be able to catch a single fish. Because DMPT is not a product for fishing at all, but for fish breeding. It is just a chronic fish feeding stimulant. For example, eating hawthorn regularly can stimulate the appetite, strengthen the spleen, and increase appetite. However, if you eat a few hawthorns before eating, your appetite will increase from 2 bowls of rice to 4 bowls of rice. This is obviously impossible. Eating too much hawthorn will cause nausea, because hawthorn is not a ghrelin. DMPT is like this hawthorn. It has no immediate effect on promoting feeding when fishing. If you add too much, it will kill you.
