What is the climate type in Beijing?
Beijing's climate is a warm temperate semi-humid semi-arid monsoon climate, with high temperature and rainy summer, cold and dry winter and short spring and autumn. The frost-free period of the whole year is 180 ~ 200 days, which is shorter in the western mountainous area. In 2007, the average rainfall was 483.9 mm, which is one of the most rainy areas in North China. The seasonal distribution of precipitation is very uneven. 80% of the annual precipitation is concentrated in June, July and August in summer, and there are heavy rains in July and August.
Spring: Cold and warm air alternate frequently, the temperature rises quickly, and it is dry and windy. The spring precipitation only accounts for 1/4 of the annual precipitation.
10% or so, there is a saying that there is a "spring drought in nine years". The temperature rises rapidly and the temperature difference between day and night is large, which is one of the remarkable characteristics of spring climate.
Spring is very short, and it takes about two months to enter summer, which is also a feature of Beijing's continental climate.
Summer: It is characterized by hot and rainy weather. The average summer temperature in the plain area is about 25℃, and the highest temperature in July is about 26℃. In the three months of summer, the days with the highest temperature above 30℃ are 53 days (Meteorological Observatory: 195 1~2008), and the extreme highest temperature has been above 40℃: the summer rainfall is concentrated, accounting for about 75% of the annual precipitation, 7. Strong convective weather often occurs, causing destructive weather such as heavy rain, hail, thunderstorm and strong wind.
Autumn: it's warm and cold at first sight, with little wind and rain. The time base of autumn crisp is short, with an average of more than 50 days. 10 ended, and the cold northwest airflow gradually controlled the city and gradually entered the winter.
Winter: cold, dry, windy and long season. The monthly average temperature is below 0℃, and the winter precipitation is scarce, accounting for only about 2% of the annual precipitation, mainly due to frost.
