Where does Jimo County Yamen belong?
Jimo County Government is a cultural relic protection unit in Shandong Province.
The ancient buildings in Jimo City, in terms of "ancient", must be the ancient county government office of Jimo. It is located in the Jimo City Museum. To be precise, the museum was built on the site of the county government building complex.
The ancient city of Jimo is located on the "Aogai" shaped terrain surrounded by several rivers such as the Huaihe River, Beida River and Yuanxi River. The Jimo County Government Office is built on the highest point of the "Aogai", which is known as "Aogai". Aotou" on. It can be seen that when the city was built in the 16th year of Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (596 AD), the ancients paid great attention to Feng Shui, and the survey site was also in place, so that the ancient building of the county government has survived to this day. At the same time, it also moved the political center of Jimo southward from Pingdu Zhumao Ancient City, and interpreted more than 1,400 years of history.
County government agencies first established the county system in the Qin Dynasty, which was called "county administration". In the Ming Dynasty, it was called "official office", and in the Qing Dynasty, it was called "government office". It is a local administrative agency distributed throughout the country. The stars have changed, the sea has changed, and the relatively complete county government building complex that can be seen today can only be found in Neixiang and Yexian in Henan and Pingyao in Jiangxi. Although the supporting buildings of the Jimo County government building complex have disappeared, the buildings in the first, second and third halls have been fortunately preserved. This is unique in Shandong Province and can be said to be extremely precious.
Yitang, that is, the main hall, also known as the "lobby" or "court", is the place for litigation and trial. The main hall of the Jimo County Government Office was first built in the Kaihuang period of the Sui Dynasty. It has undergone more than 10 major repairs in the Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China. After the founding of New China, another major repair was carried out in 1999. This maintenance adheres to the principle of "repairing cultural relics as they were before". While the main structure remains unchanged, the roof and the left and right side rooms are renovated. The architectural style of county government offices is roughly the same across the country, with hard hills, green tile roofs, short eaves and open doors. It does not show grandeur, but the majesty of the government. Regarding the regulation of main halls, there are five or three halls according to the size and importance of the county and the county magistrate's own rank. The main hall of the Jimo County Government Office has three buildings and three entrances. There are transept doors on the east and west sides, and the door behind the screen leads to the second hall. After repairs, the hall restored its old decoration. Above the second entrance were hung horizontal plaques of "Mingjing Gaohang" and "Loyalty and Love", on both sides slightly lower were hung horizontal plaques of "Integrity and Integrity" and "Law Enforcement is Like a Mountain"; A desk is placed under the desk, and the pride, deacon, and drum are arranged on both sides of the desk in front of the desk. A new discovery was made during this maintenance, that is, there was an original "basement" in the east and west wing rooms. Its construction features are a square hole at the bottom, a bluestone slab covering the top, a round opening cut on the bluestone slab, a grooved round stone cover, and a locking mechanism. The "basement" built in the court hall is not seen in other county offices, and its use needs further research and verification.
Behind the main hall is the second hall with two wings. The second hall was once named "Yintang", "Mingqin" and "Zhiyuan" and was a place for business meetings and receptions. After the second hall is the third hall, which is also equipped with two wings and is the inner bedroom of the county magistrate and his family. Today, green vines and green bamboos dot the courtyard, and green pines and cypresses cover the halls, which are half quiet and half mysterious.
Standing in front of the simple, elegant, majestic and solemn main hall, there are couplets on the pillars that read "There are four seasons of spring outside the hall, gentle breeze and sweet rain; the desk is three feet away from the scorching sun and severe frost" and the cracked stone at the door of the hall. The steps remind people of the joys and sorrows of those who are "loyal to the emperor and love the people". Mr. Lv Jimin, director of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, once stared at the couplets, lovingly caressed the cracked stone steps and stood in the main hall. His ears seemed to recall the majestic and stern voices, and all kinds of ugliness and faces seemed to appear in front of his eyes. Of course, I am also thinking about those "parents" of the people, Xu Ting, Kang Linsheng, and Zheng Minggang
The mood needs to be happy, and sometimes it needs to be heavy. The story of 1353 is sealed here, and it is no longer a place that ordinary people are afraid of. If you have time and opportunity, you might as well come and take a piece of history and express your nostalgia for the past. After all, there are not many such buildings left.
