Why is Nanjing called the dragon plate of the tiger?

Nanjing is called "the dragon on the back of a tiger" because of its special terrain.

Zhuge Liang sent messengers to Wu Dong, passing by Jinling. When he saw the terrain of Jinling, he couldn't help admiring: Longpan in Zhongshan, Shi Hu, the residence of the emperor. Zhongshan is like a dragon, and the rocky mountain crouches tiger, guarding Nanjing's status as king.
