Original text (July 14th), evening and sunny. Open the south window to view the mountains and rivers. There are many fish in the stream, and when the water splits, they jump out, reflecting the slanting sun, like silver knives. Those who fish for fishing have great hope, but the price is so low that the children will be satisfied all their lives. The natives said that the water in this stream is fertile and suitable for fish. When you drink it, the water tastes sweet and fruity. Do you believe that because it is fat, there are many fish? In the southeast of the stream, there are several peaks like black daisies, covering the green hills.

Translation (July) 14th, evening, sunny. Open the south-facing window in the cabin and watch the scenery of the river and mountains. There are many fish in the Gushu River. From time to time they break out of the water and jump out. The setting sun reflects on the water like a silver knife. People fishing with poles and nets are everywhere. Because of this, the price of fish is very low, and the children and servants have enough to eat every day. Local people say that the stream is very fertile and suitable for the growth of fish. When I sang about the stream, I felt that the water tasted really sweet. Is it really because of the fertilizer? Many peaks in the southeast of the stream looked like they had been dyed with blue-black paint. They turned out to be green mountains.

Original text (August) 14th, dawn and rain. After passing a small rocky mountain, half of it is cut straight from the top, which is very similar to the Shushan Mountain by the Yuyao River. Throwing it into the river, I met a wooden raft, which was more than ten feet wide and fifty feet long.

Translation: On the 14th (August), (the ship departed from Fuchi and headed west) it rained at dawn. Passing by a small rocky mountain, (this mountain) is as straight as if half of the top of the mountain were cut off with a knife. It is very similar to Shushan Mountain by the Yuyao River. While sailing on the river, I encountered a wooden raft, more than ten feet wide and fifty feet long.

The original text states that there are thirty or forty houses with wives, chickens, dogs, mortars, and pots. There are streets between them, and there are also shrines, which I have never seen before. The people in the boat said, "This is just for the small ones. The big ones spread the soil on the raft to make a vegetable garden or a wine shop. They can no longer fit in, but they can only travel on the big river." On that day, we were pulling the boat against the wind, and we only traveled fifteen or six miles from Pingdan to Rinan. It is parked in Liuguanji, next to the border of Qizhou. The children landed on the shore and returned to the cloud: "After reaching the path, behind the mountain, there is a vague Pi Lake with rich lotus roots. There are many trees and flowers along the lake, and in the sunset, there are several reed fan huts, which seem to be quiet and quiet, but there is no one there. There was a big pear, but I couldn't get it. I wanted to buy it in a small boat, but I couldn't get it. I saw a trap by the road, so I didn't dare to go there. It is said that Zhaolie of the Han Dynasty entered Wu and tried to build a boat here. In the evening, watch giant turtles floating and sinking in the water.

There are thirty or forty households in the translation, with wives, children, chickens, dogs, and mortars and mills for pounding rice. There are passages to and from each other in the middle, as well as a shrine, which I have never seen before. The boatman said that this is still a small one. The big one can spread soil on the bamboo raft to make a vegetable field or open a hotel. But it is so big that it can no longer drive into the small inlet and can only travel in the big river. There was a headwind that day, so the tracker pulled the boat hard and only traveled fifteen or six miles from dawn to sunset. The ship anchored in Liuguanji, which was the ancient border of Qizhou. The nephew and others went ashore and came back and said: "I found a small road (from the small road) to the back of the mountain. There is a small lake with a large area. There are many lotus seeds and water chestnuts. There are many eucalyptus along the lake. Several families are standing in the sunset, with reeds. The fences and huts seemed to be an elegant place, and it was so quiet that there was no sound of people. There were big pears that I wanted to buy, but they couldn't. There were brisk boats picking water chestnuts in the lake, but there was no one there. Agree. I wanted to see what was going on, and happened to see a tool for catching wild animals on the roadside. I suspected that there were tigers and wolves, so I didn't dare to go any further. "Liu Guanfan, legend has it that Liu Bei, Emperor Zhaolie of the Shu Han Dynasty, went to the Kingdom of Wu. I used to get my boat ashore here. At night, I saw big turtles floating in the water.

Original text (August) 21st. Passing between two willows, looking back at the river, the distant mountains are repeatedly beautiful. Since Lihuang, even if the road is intersected, it is still far away, the terrain is getting higher and higher, and there are many kinds of millet and buckwheat. In the evening, there are Yangluo trees, high embankments and willows, and a large number of residents. The fish are as cheap as dirt, and a hundred dollars can feed twenty mouths; and they are all giant fish, so if you want to find small fish to feed the cat, you can't find them.

Translation (August) 21st, (the ship departed from Qiji Port in the upper reaches of Huangzhou) passed Shuangliujia, looking back at the river, there were many mountains in the distance, deep and beautiful. After leaving Huangzhou, even though we were traveling between two willows, it was still vast and vast, and the terrain gradually became higher. Most of them planted beans, millet, buckwheat and other food crops. In the evening, we anchored in Yangluosu, where the embankments are wide, willow trees are dense, and there are many residents. Fish are as cheap as soil, and one hundred copper coins (for fish) can feed twenty people; and they are all big fish. If you want to find some small fish to feed cats, you can't find them.

Original text On the 9th (September), early in the morning, I visited the Hou Tu Temple. The houses beside the road are all thatched with more than a foot of thick thatch, and are neat and tidy. Hang up the sail and throw it across the river for thirty miles, stopping at Taziji, a mountain beside the river. Since leaving Ezhou, I have just seen the mountains. Buy sheep and buy wine. The village was built with nine steps, so a sheep was slaughtered, and the boats were bought, and it was all finished in a short while. I asked for chrysanthemums from a house on the river, and I got several branches. They were fragrant and lovely, and I was drunk by them. It rained at night and was extremely cold, so the quilts began to be covered.

Translation: On the morning of the 9th (September) (the boat sailed to Shishou County in Jingzhou), we went to the temple to worship the Earth God. The thatch covering the roofs of the private houses on the roadside is more than a foot thick, and they are so neat that there is not a stray weed. He set up his sails and sailed thirty miles in the river, stopping at Tazifan, a large mountain beside the river. I haven’t seen mountains since I left Ezhou. I bought sheep and wine, and parked a boat at the waterside next to the village. Because it was the Double Ninth Festival, I killed a sheep, bought several boats, and finished it in a short time. I bought some chrysanthemums from a house by the river. They were fragrant and lovely, so I got drunk. It started raining at night and was very cold, so I started to put on the quilt.

Original text (October) 21st.

Looking at the Shimen Pass from the boat, there is only one pass, which is the most dangerous place in the world. In the evening, we stopped in Badong County. The mountains and rivers were majestic and we won a great victory over Zigui. However, Jingyi is extremely depressed. There are only a hundred households in the city, and there are no tiles left in the city from Lingshe to the lower part. Wang Kangnian, the official of Zigui, Youdi Gonglang, the official of Quan County, and Dude, the official of Youdi Gonglang, the Wei and Chief Secretary of Zigui, came first, both of whom were from Shu. Visit Kolai Gong's ancestral hall, climb the Autumn Wind Pavilion, and look down at the mountains and rivers. It was an overcast day with a slight snowfall, and the weather was stale. When I looked back at the name of the pavilion, I felt a sense of sadness, and felt like I was wandering to the end of the world. Then he climbed to Shuangbai Hall and Baiyunting. There used to be a cypress planted by Lai Gong under the hall, but it is now haggard and dead. However, Nanshan is repeated, beautiful and lovely. Baiyun Pavilion is a mysterious and desperate place in the world, surrounded by mountains, with ancient trees appearing one after another, often two or three hundred years old. Outside the fence, twin waterfalls cascade into the stone stream. Jumping beads splash jade, which is cold enough to penetrate people's bones. Below it is Cixi, which flows to meet the river. I entered Chu from Wu and traveled more than five thousand miles, passing through fifteen states. The pavilions and pavilions were not as beautiful as those of Baiyun, and I stopped at the county seat after hearing the news. There is nothing wrong with Badong, and those who serve can sleep and eat in the pavilion, and their enjoyment is boundless. However, the order of Que is kept for two or three years, and there is no one willing to make up for it. Why?

Translation: On the 21st of October, (the ship passed Guizhou), I had to look at Shimen Pass in the middle of the ship to pass a person. It is really the most dangerous place in the world. In the evening, the boat anchored in Badong County. The rivers and mountains were very majestic, far exceeding Zigui. The market is very depressed and desolate. There are only more than a hundred households in the county. Below the county magistrate's office are all thatched houses without a single tile. The acting county captain was Wang Kangnian, the county captain Youdigonglang from Zigui, and the captain and chief Bo was Youdigonglang Dude who came first, both from Sichuan. Visit the Kou Lai Gong Ci Hall and board the Qiufeng Pavilion, with the Yangtze River below. It was a very overcast day with light snow falling, and the weather was cold and miserable. Looking at the name of the pavilion, it made people feel lost, and they felt like they were wandering to the end of the world. So he went to Shuangbai Hall and Baiyunting. There used to be a cypress tree planted by Kou Laigong under the hall, but it is now dead. However, there are many mountains in the south, which are beautiful and lovely. Baiyun Pavilion is the most secluded and wonderful place in the world. It is surrounded by mountains, appearing layer by layer. The ancient trees are dense and lush, and they often grow over two or three hundred years ago. Outside the pavilion, there are two waterfalls flowing straight into the mountain stream, like pearls jumping, jade chips splashing, and cold air invading the bones. Below it is Cixi, flowing to meet the Yangtze River. I entered Hubei from Jiangsu and Zhejiang, traveling more than 5,000 miles and passing through fifteen states. The most beautiful scenery did not exceed Baiyunting, which was only behind the county captain's office.

The Badong magistrate has nothing to do. The county magistrate can sleep and eat in the pavilion. The fun is endless. However, the county magistrate is vacant every two or three years, and no one is willing to fill the vacancy. Why is this?
