The history of Huafeng Meteorological Film and Television Information Group
The predecessor of Huafeng Film and Television Information Group is Huafeng Audio and Video Technology Center. It was originally a high-tech enterprise affiliated to the National Meteorological Center. In August 2002, it was separated from the National Meteorological Center and is now directly under the China Meteorological Administration. film and television group.
Huafeng Group is the only external window for the China Meteorological Administration to provide meteorological services to television and other media. It is also the only unit approved by the national government that can produce and distribute national-level meteorological film and television programs. We provide the most professional meteorological services because we have international and national weather data, graphics, etc. at all times of the day. It is the most comprehensive and wide-ranging meteorological data in China. We use CCTV to introduce current and future weather conditions to the country and even around the world, and provide services such as disastrous weather forecasts. In addition, we are also engaged in the development of related television, multimedia, computer and other technologies and the creative design of advertising.
On October 1, 1981, we launched the first TV weather forecast program in cooperation with China Central Television. In 1986, we began to independently produce forecast programs. To this end, my country became the only country in the world where the meteorological department independently established a system to produce television weather forecasts. In the beginning, after our program was produced, the courier would deliver the videotape to CCTV and then broadcast it. In order to improve the broadcast timeliness of programs, the China Meteorological Administration invested 1.2 million yuan in laying optical cables. Starting from January 1, 1991, we officially transmitted television weather forecast programs to CCTV through optical cables. In 2001, our technology center built a new generation of digital TV weather forecast production system, which has reached a relatively advanced level. The scientific and technological products and achievements developed by our group have won many national and ministerial scientific and technological progress awards. Our multimedia microcomputer TV weather forecast production system has also been promoted to more than 20 provincial and municipal meteorological departments. At the request of the World Meteorological Organization, in 1994, we provided specialized technical assistance for the production of meteorological programs to Ethiopia, Africa; our programs have twice won the French International Meteorological Television Festival Nomination Award (top three), and were well received in European and American broadcasts. widely praised.
