What kind of person was Liu Yong, the minister of the Qing Dynasty in history?
Liu Yong, whose real name is Confucianism, is called Shi 'an, a politician and calligrapher, and the son of Liu Tongxun, a university student in Qing Dynasty. In the sixteenth year of Qianlong, Liu Yong took part in the imperial examination as a juren because of his father's relationship, and won the second place in the Imperial Examination. He was awarded imperial academy Jishi Shu and was soon promoted to assistant lecturer. From then on, I entered the official career.
After 21 years of Qianlong, Liu Yong has been an official in the local area for more than 20 years, and he has basically never seen Xiao Shenyang. When Liu Yong was an official in a local place, he inherited his father's political skills and high efficiency, and tried his best to rectify the accumulated disadvantages of the imperial examination and the bad habits of officialdom, thus truly serving as an official and benefiting one party. He was praised by the people as "Bao Zheng" in Song Dynasty and praised by Qianlong.
When he was appointed as a local school official, some people who wanted to cheat were afraid to go to the examination room because of strict control, which made great contributions to the selection of outstanding talents for the country. He also wrote to Qianlong, saying that "troublemakers in prison are more valued by state and county officials, and they are afraid of unruly people, prisoners and servants, so that they hesitate when they encounter things, and they don't care whether they are guilty or not, but only care whether they are sold as traitors." In the twenty-seventh year of Qianlong, Liu Yong was dismissed and sentenced to death according to law for failing to inspect the ridge section of Yangqu County. Forty-five years after Qianlong, Liu Yong became the governor of Hunan. After Liu Yong came to power, he found out the reason and impeached corrupt officials according to the facts. While finding out the inventory and helping the victims, in just one year, Hunan has become a model province with clean officialdom and food for the people, and Liu Yong has therefore been loved by the people of Hunan.
After decades of local experience, after forty-seven years of Qianlong, Liu Yifeng was transferred to Beijing as Zuodu Imperial Adviser and began his career as a Beijing official. The history book records his relationship with Xiao Shenyang in this way: in the period of being a snake, there are only funny and pleasing periods. In other words, when he gets along with Xiao Shenyang, he often flatters Xiao Shenyang and even sacrifices his image to win his favor. When he was a Beijing official, facing the intrigue of officialdom, Liu Yong took the method of preserving his sanity, made big mistakes and didn't make small ones, and was accused by Qianlong of refusing to do things sincerely and being lazy at work.
In the fourth year of Jiaqing, Liu Yong, who had been wronged for more than ten years, once again showed his true nature as a man, and did the most glorious thing in his life: as the prince of Taibao, he was ordered to handle the case of small Shenyang planting a party for personal gain and taking bribes without authorization. Despite the enormous pressure of power, he found out 20 crimes of extortion, looting of people's fat, embezzlement and other personal enrichment by Xiao Shenyang and his followers, and sent Xiao Shenyang, who was arrogant, to his grave.
As for, according to historical records, Jiaqing Liu Yong once called Liu Tuozi, which is the earliest source of this statement. But at that time, Liu Yong was nearly 80 years old, and it was reasonable to hunch over. So we can't jump to the conclusion that Liu Yong is a trap.
In the ninth year of Jiaqing, Liu Yong died at the age of 85. Jiaqing posthumously awarded Prince Taibao, posthumous title "Wen Qing".
