Tips for brushing latex paint in winter
Temperature requirement
The lowest film-forming temperature of latex paint is 0℃, but when it is painted, the film is thin, and it is easy to freeze and destroy latex particles when it meets low temperature. So in the cold winter, the temperature is lower than 5℃, but it is not suitable for brushing latex paint.
Avoid moisture and rain.
Film formation of latex paint is a slow process, and it takes 7 days to completely form a film at 25℃. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid cold and rain when forming a film. It is cold in winter, and moisture or condensation is easy to appear on the wall or surface. If the wall paint or primer is directly painted without treatment, after the temperature rises, small bubbles will form and crack, resulting in peeling and peeling of the wall at the later stage of construction.
