Applicable conditions of regional ventilation

Sectional ventilation has been adopted in some mines with scattered shallow ore bodies. Whether zoning ventilation is suitable or not mainly depends on the engineering quantity of ventilation shafts reaching the surface, or whether the existing shafts can be used.

Generally speaking, it is beneficial to adopt zonal ventilation in the following situations: (1) The ore bodies are shallow and scattered, and there are ready-made shafts and lanes available, or the ventilation shafts and lanes are dug to the surface in a small amount. (2) The ore body has shallow burial, long strike and large output. If a unified ventilation system is formed, the wind path is long, the air leakage is large, the network is complex and the management is difficult.
