A large number of green bricks, tiles and brick components were unearthed in the southwest of the tower. The construction of the current Babel Tower started in July 2011 and was completed in September 2012. This tower was designed by Professor Cheng Jianjun from the Architectural Cultural Heritage Conservation Design Institute of South China University of Technology. The tower is 39 meters high and built in a Song Dynasty style octagonal nine-story pavilion style. The tower body stands like a literary pen, reviving the meaning and landscape of the "mainstay".
