1, former residence of Shen Congwen
Shen Congwen's former residence is located in Fenghuang County, which was established by his grandfather when he was an official. It has a history of 100 years. Shen Congwen's former residence is not big. In the middle of the low courtyard is a small courtyard. In the eight old houses around it, photos, manuscripts and various versions of Shen Congwen's life are displayed. A sketch of him hangs in the main hall of Shen Congwen's former residence. The left wing is his past bedroom, with carved wooden windows showing Xiangxi customs. Shen Congwen 1902 was born here and spent his childhood here.
2. Xiong Xiling's former residence
Xiong Xiling's former residence is located in an alley in the ancient city of BeiWenxing Street, and the beautiful Tuojiang River is 200 meters east of the former residence. The former residence is a quadrangle with ancient wooden tile structure in the south, which is short but exquisite. The four existing houses in the former residence basically keep their original appearance and are full of Miao sentiment. The former residence is a provincial key cultural relics protection unit.
3. Yangjia ancestral hall
Yangjia ancestral hall was built in Daoguang 16 (1836). It is a two-story wooden quadrangle, covering an area of 770 square meters. It consists of a gate, a stage, a hall, a gallery and a main hall, and is rectangular. The stage rests on the top of the mountain, with a single eaves and a wishful bucket arch under the eaves, with a height of16m. The four pillars are carved with dragons and phoenixes. The stage is bucket-through, and the main hall is beam-lifting. The whole building is exquisite in workmanship and full of national characteristics, and it is a key cultural relic protection unit in the county.
4. East Gate Tower
Dongmen Tower is located in the east of the city, close to Tuojiang River, formerly known as "Shenghengmen", which is one of the four gates of Fenghuang Ancient City. Dongmen Tower was built in the fifty-fourth year of Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (17 15). The lower part of the city gate is purple sandstone and the upper part is ancient brick. The gate is 3.5 meters wide and 4 meters high, with a semicircular arch. Both gates are wrapped in iron sheets and nailed with round head nails, which are strong and firm.
5. boating on the Tuojiang River
Tuojiang River is the mother river of Fenghuang Ancient City. It flows slowly along the city wall, feeding generations of children in the ancient city. Sitting on Wu Peng's boat, listening to the singer's songs and watching the Tujia diaojiao building with a history of 100 years on both sides of the strait have a unique charm. Down the river, across Hongqiao, a picture of a water town in the south of the Yangtze River is displayed in front of us: Wanshou Palace, Wanming Pagoda and Duocui Building ... a feeling of being far away from the world.
6. Wanshou Palace
Wanshou Palace, also known as Jiangxi Guild Hall, is located in Shawan, outside the scenic East Gate of Phoenix. Built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, it was built in the 20th year of Qing Qianlong (1755). In the fourth year of Xianfeng (1854), yangsi, a native of Jiangxi, built a long pavilion on the west side; In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), Yang Lou was built on the north side of the city gate.
7. Chongde Church
Chongdetang was founded in 1884 with elegant building rules. It is a typical southern quadrangle. It was built in 1884 by Pei Shoulu of Fengcheng, Jiangxi Province. The total area is 622 square meters. For the upper and lower floors of the building, the public areas for living and entertaining guests and the private areas such as the master bedroom are reasonably divided.
8. Chen Baozhen's former residence
The century-old house of Chen Baozhen's family covers an area of 1600 square meters. It is a cultural carrier integrating the ancient city museum and Chen Baozhen's family.
9. Hongqiao
It is Hongqiao Storm Building and Minzu Street that crisscross and reflect each other, forming the custom picture of the ancient city. Hongqiao spans the Tuojiang River, and the wind and rain building is eye-catching for its majesty and beauty. In fact, it has become an overlapping landscape with a history of more than 600 years from bottom to top. This bridge was built in the early years of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty. Phoenix people who believe in geomantic omen say that the bridge cut the neck of a dragon and made it beheaded.
