It is a passenger station under the jurisdiction of China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group Co., Ltd., an important part of Nanjing Railway Hub, the largest transportation hub in East China and the national railway hub. The arrival floor of Nanjing South Railway Station is divided into east and west directions, which correspond to the east and west directions of Nanjing urban area respectively. East of Nanjing can exit from Nanjing South Station East, and west of Nanjing can exit from Nanjing South Station West.
