The 2003 Stockholm Marathon was held on June 14. Kenyan male runner Josfa Chemjo Er and Swedish female player Mariel Söderström Lundberg won the men's and women's championships respectively. This is the third time Lundberg has won this event. Previously, she had won two runner-up places and three third-place finishes, making her the athlete with the most medals since the event was held for 25 years.
