How long can the bathroom be waterproof?
Among them, it takes about one day to clean the toilet seat, mix the waterproof paint and brush it twice, half a day for the waterproof paint to dry completely, and one or two days for the closed water test. Of course, if the floor and the weather are wet, the time required for waterproofing should be extended accordingly.
Below, I will share three tips for waterproof in the bathroom!
1, leveling layer to be made
Before the bathroom is waterproof, the ground should be leveled with cement mortar and then waterproof. This can prevent the waterproof coating from piercing the waterproof coiled material or wall leakage caused by uneven thickness.
2, do a good job in key parts
When the bathroom is waterproof, we must pay attention to the junction between the wall and the ground, and the junction between the sewer pipe and the ground. These places are the most prone to water leakage. Therefore, the waterproof layer in these places must be strengthened and not sloppy.
3, the wall should also be waterproof
When the bathroom is waterproof, not only the ground should be waterproof, but also the wall should be waterproof, and the height of 30cm from the ground should be waterproof. If there is a bathtub in the bathroom, its adjacent walls should also be waterproof, and its waterproof height should be higher than that of the bathtub; If it is a shower, its waterproof treatment should reach the height of 180cm.
I have read a lot of news that the toilet is not waterproof, and there is water seepage downstairs! Once this happens, you will be in trouble, not only yourself, but also the neighbors downstairs, and you need compensation. Therefore, everyone's new house, especially the bathroom, must be waterproof, and don't feel bad if you spend one or two hundred dollars more, so as not to spend thousands of dollars later.
