I am from Peixian County, Xuzhou, and now I work in Wuhu. After New Year's Day in 2010, I went winter fishing several times in Wuhu on the weekends. After some experience, I thought it would be good to check some winter fishing crucian carp posts on the Internet.

Tricks for fishing crucian carp in winter with a hand pole

One or two stability: Generally speaking, you can fish crucian carp in winter whether it is sunny or rainy. You must insist on "stability" before going out. Stability includes two aspects. First, the temperature is stable. Regardless of whether it is sunny or rainy, as long as there is a stable temperature for more than three consecutive days, you can go fishing. You must not go out when the weather changes from sunny to rainy or when the temperature rises and falls greatly. Of course, elderly fishing friends should choose a stable and sunny day after the rain to go fishing, soak up the sun, stretch their muscles, pursue the process, and have fun. Second, the water level is stable. When fishing in a small river or a reservoir with a power station, you must know whether the water level at the fishing point is rising, falling, or flat before going out. Whether it is rising or falling, it must be stable for three days before fishing. Generally, Generally speaking, the days when the water rises and falls are the worst for fishing.

2. Four-factor positioning: Use four standards to measure fishing positions. One is sunny, which can be illuminated by the sun throughout the day. The second is leeward, where the wind blows small or no waves, and the small river chooses the backwater. The third is to be close to the grass. It is best to be close to the grass edge of a small river or pond. Fourth, it should be shallow. When fishing crucian carp in winter, when the water temperature is 5-10 degrees, it is appropriate to fish within 50-180 centimeters. If the water temperature is below 5 degrees, you can fish next to trees within 200--600 cm. Generally speaking, you must not fish too deep on a sunny day. The best places to catch crucian carp in winter are at a depth of 180 centimeters, beside grass facing the sun and leeward, under old trees, and in the backflow.

3. More nests and less bait: Crucian carp starts to look for grass to fall in love with in winter, and its swimming range is small. Generally, several fish have a fixed space, so when making nests, they must make a nest every 10 meters. (or 5 or 6 meters), make at least 5 or more nests, with a maximum of 30 grams of soaked rice for each nest. In the future, 5-10 grams of rice will be used to repair the nests. Too much rice will not be effective.

4. Fishing alone with one rod: Use a 3.6-5.4 meter hardness and light fishing rod, a 0.14mm rod line, a seven-star drift, and a No. 6 stream hook (other hooks are also acceptable) , Falling in moderation, falling alive or dead depends on habits. It is best to use one rod when fishing near the grass. If there are too many rods and you are too busy, the fish will burrow into the grass after catching the fish, which will not only lose the line but also make a nest. This is called losing your wife and losing your troops.

5. Take the initiative to fish: be sure to move around frequently, lower the fishing line three to five times in each nest, fish with live earthworms (other baits can also be used), and lift the fishing line gently after each time 20 cm, if there are fish in the nest, they must eat it. After catching at most two crucian carp in one nest, the nest must be repaired, and after repairing the nest, go fishing for another nest immediately. In this way, fishing back and forth is both sporty and inconvenient. It’s cold, and there’s good harvest. If there is hay at the bottom of the water, put a piece of white foam plastic on the hook binding area before catching the earthworms, which will have a better effect when fishing.

In winter, fish also want to find places with deep water, sunshine, and shelter from the wind to make nests to spend the winter. Among them, there are roughly three types: natural, artificial and fish-made. Natural fish nests are generally found in rivers. They are often found at the corners of rivers where the water flows slowly and faces the sun and the water is deep, as well as at the foot of bridges and bridge pillars where the water faces the sun. There are often people washing rice and vegetables and at the piers where the water is deep. Artificial fish nests are mostly found in ponds. When the water diversion trenches for water pumps were dug, some of them extended to the center of the pond. Such a ditch has deep water and small waves, so it naturally becomes a greenhouse for fish. Others are dug by fishing enthusiasts. When digging pond mud in summer, they consciously dig deeper on the sunny side of the pond, and some are deeper than the middle of the pond, making it easier to fish in winter. The nests made by fish are usually in relatively flat places on the bottom of the water. The fish use their mouth skids, fin strokes, and tail fans to spread the mud in the middle to the surrounding areas on the soft bottom of the pond. It is shaped like a soup basin and is 10 to 15 centimeters deep. Big fish should be larger and deeper. To find a fish nest, you need to look first, look second, ask three questions and try four times. When fishing in winter, you should not rush to make a nest. You should pay attention to the terrain when you go to the waterside. In unfamiliar places, you should learn about the pond conditions from the locals and find the location of the fish nest. Fish nests in flat-bottomed ponds must be repeatedly tested front and back, left and right, and more nests must be found, because some are stone nests and dead nests. Don't be afraid of trouble. Once you find the fish nest, hehe... it will be a great harvest in winter.

1. Fishing tackle. When fishing for crucian carp with string hooks and throwing rods in winter, the throwing rod used should be a soft-adjusted sea rod of about 3 meters, or a rocky fishing rod of 3-4.5 meters. When fishing for crucian carp with poles and string hooks in winter, the fishing line used should be No. 2 to 2.5 high-quality nylon line. In principle, it should not exceed No. 3 line. If the line is too thick, it will be insensitive and affect the transmission of signals when crucian carp eats the hook. The connection line for tying the string hook can be No. 2 line. Depending on the size of the crucian carp being caught, the brain line should be soft and high-quality line No. 0.8 to L. Each group of string hooks can be tied with 3 hooks. It is inconvenient to have many hooks. The distance between hooks can be 20 cm. The length of the brain line is about 10 cm, and the total length of the string hooks is preferably no more than 70 cm.

2. Bait. Red worms are the best bait for fishing crucian carp when throwing poles and string hooks in winter. If there are no red worms, red earthworms as small as matchsticks will also work. But it is better to keep red worms and earthworms alive.

3. Fishing spots. It is better to choose large pits, ponds, weirs and small reservoirs, because these water areas are relatively small, and the deep water areas where crucian carp hide can generally be reached by throwing a pole, and it is easy to find fish schools.

4. Fishing. In winter, when fishing for crucian carp by throwing a rod and stringing hooks, you can use 3 to 4 rods. When hanging earthworms on string hooks, you can hang a whole one on each hook, and you need to thread it on the hook several times. Do not leave too many earthworms on both ends. long.

It is difficult to hang red worms on string hooks because the red worms are small and soft and difficult to penetrate the hook. Use a knife to cut a piece of white radish one centimeter thick, then use tweezers to pick up a handful of red worms and place them on the radish slice. Hold the handle of the hook with your hands and prick the red worms with the tip of the hook. Hang 3 to 4 red worms on each hook. Can. Then cast in a fan shape to the predetermined water area ahead, and then lay the rod horizontally on the shore so that the tip of the rod is at a 90-degree angle with the fishing line in the water. The rocking wheel tightens the fishing line and the tip of the rod is slightly bent. The other rods are The trapezoids are placed in sequence. Setting up the pole in this way will help you focus on observing the static and dynamic changes at the pole tip. Secondly, it can make all the string hooks fall to the bottom, making it easier for crucian carp to suck. Third, it can resist the interference of wind and waves on the pole line. Finally, fishermen can sit upright in front of the pole and are less prone to fatigue. When throwing a pole with string hooks to catch crucian carp in winter, you generally do not hang a bell, but observe the reaction of the pole tip. After a small crucian carp takes the bait, the rod tip will shake slightly, while after a big crucian carp takes the bait, the pole tip will shake greatly. But whether it is a large crucian carp or a small crucian carp, when it struggles after being hooked, the rod tip will continue to shake, and even bend and feed the line. At this time, you need to quickly lift the rod and reel in the line to catch the fish.
