The most famous building in Nanjing Tulou, the "Four King Kong" among the Tulou
Nanjing is known as the "Kingdom of Earth Buildings". Thousands of castle-like buildings stand here. They are located beside streams and in the fields, like "mushrooms growing on the ground" and like " "Flying saucer falling from the sky", forming a unique natural and cultural landscape. What is the most famous earth building among Nanjing earth buildings? Let’s take a look!
The Tianluokeng Tulou Group was included in the World Cultural Heritage List in 2008. Tianluokeng Village is one of the first batch of historical and cultural villages and the first batch of Chinese landscape villages in China. Speaking of the place name of Tianluokeng, there is also a beautiful legend! It is said that more than 600 years ago, a young man named Huang Baisanlang came here across the mountains and rivers. Seeing that this place is surrounded by mountains and rivers and has excellent scenery, he built a thatched cottage here and raised ducks.
The mother duck ate the snails in the small field pit and laid double-yolk eggs every day. From this, she slowly accumulated a fortune. One day, Huang Baisanlang was raising ducks in the field. Suddenly, the sky was covered with dark clouds and there was lightning and thunder. Huang Baisanlang hurriedly drove the ducks back to the thatched cottage.
At this time, there were calls of "Help! Help!" coming from beside a rock. Huang Baisanlang followed the sound and saw a huge poisonous snake heading toward a beautiful woman. Forced by the girl, Huang Bai Sanlang took three steps at a time and fought with the poisonous snake risklessly using the bamboo pole used to chase ducks.
The poisonous snake was killed and the girl was saved. The girl lay in the arms of the brave Huang Baisanlang and said to him affectionately: "I am a snail girl. I am touched by your diligence and simplicity. From now on, if you are a mother duck, let me help you with the housework!" "So the two got married and had children and reproduced from then on. In order to commemorate their ancestors, later generations called this place Tianluokeng.
The Tianluokeng Tulou Group is a square and four-round earth building that is laid out according to the "Five Chambers of Mingtang" in "Kaogongji Map" and built in accordance with the order of the five elements of "gold, wood, water, fire and earth". It is a combination of architectural shapes 's classic. Four round buildings rise from the four corners, a square building stands among them, and five earth buildings bloom like plum blossoms on the ground. The unique shape and wonderful landscape have become the landmark buildings of Fujian earth buildings, attracting a large number of people. Approval of tourists from home and abroad.
The square building in the middle is called Buyun Building. It was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722). It means "step up to the top", which means that future generations will succeed in studying and their official career will rise step by step. The one on the right is the Zhenchang Building, built in 1930. What makes it unique is that the inner hall and the door are not in the same straight line, reflecting the Feng Shui cultural concept of "wealth should not be revealed".
The one on the left is Ruiyun Tower, built in 1936. It is located in the inner corner of five buildings. It has the function of hiding wind and gathering energy, and embodies the simple concept of implicit good fortune. The oval-shaped earth building farthest from us is Wenchang Building. It was built in 1966 and means prosperous cultural fortune. It is the only remaining oval-shaped earth building. The one closest to us is the Hechang Tower. It was built in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties (about 1354). It was originally a square tower and was destroyed by war in the 1930s. The Hechang Tower we see now was built in 1953. Rebuilt on the original site.
The five buildings are built against the mountain, echoing the layers of terraced fields. Experts have verified that there is a perfect golden ratio between the five earth buildings. Japanese architect Keiichiro Motegi said it is "unimaginable" "Monster", UNESCO consultant Stevens. Andre praised it as "a unique and fabulous mountain village architectural model in the world".
Mr. Luo Zhewen, my country's famous ancient architecture expert, once wrote a poem praising: "The earth building house beside Tianluokeng, the fog disperses and the clouds bloom, reflecting the colorful clouds. Looking down, it looks like a flower, and looking from the side, it looks like Potala. Or the clouds A flying saucer comes from outside the building, and it is also said that the shape of Luban's ink painting is rare in the world, and it is a strange thing in the world."
