Mount Putuo, together with Mount Wutai in Shanxi, Mount Emei in Sichuan and Mount Jiuhua in Anhui, is also known as the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, and it is the Dojo where Guanyin Bodhisattva educates all beings. Mount Putuo is one of Zhoushan Islands 1390 islands. It looks like a black dragon lying in the sea, with an area of nearly 1.3 square kilometers. Across the sea from shenjiamen in Zhoushan Archipelago, it is known as the "Buddha Country at Sea" and "Holy Land of the South China Sea". It is the first batch of national key scenic spots. On May 8, 2007, Putuo Mountain Scenic Spot in Zhoushan City was officially approved as a national 5A-level tourist attraction by the National Tourism Administration. "There is a fairy mountain on the sea, which is a part of the intangible world". Putuo Mountain has become a famous tourist attraction at home and abroad because of its magic, sacredness and mystery.
This time I came to Putuo Mountain, I specially chose a typhoon weather and stayed in Putuo Mountain for a few days! Before the typhoon came, there were still many tourists.
My friend is from Putuo Mountain. This time I stayed in a friend's homestay, so I came to the residential area of Putuo Mountain, overlooking the residential area at the foot of Putuo Mountain from the top of the mountain, which is an area where few tourists arrive.
Since I have lived in Zhoushan for so many years, of course, the way to enter the scenic spot should be "indigenous". From the steps of residential areas, tourists generally don't go there.
Looking around, because of the typhoon, Putuo Mountain is particularly clean than before. I think the place where Buddhism is really practiced should be so clean and free from worldly customs.

When I came to Putuo Mountain, I had to recommend these must-see attractions. There are 12 scenic spots in Putuo Mountain: Aigu sacred monument, ancient cave tidal sound, Qianbu Jinsha, Huading cloud, Chaoyang sunrise, Pantuo sunset, Fahua Cave, Pagoda Bell, Lianchi jathyapple, Yang Lian Wudu, Luojia Lingshan and Meiwan Xiao Chun.
There are three major temples in Putuo Mountain: Fosaiji, Fayu Temple and Foding Mountain Huiji Temple.

Mount Putuo is the head of Guanyin. Every year, there are three incense festivals, and believers from all over the country come here to pray, that is, February 19-Guanyin Christmas June 19-Guanyin Daocheng Day September 19-Guanyin becoming a monk.
How do you say to visit Mount Putuo? The incense of Mount Putuo is really strong. Only on this typhoon day can you feel the rare peace. Guanyin in the South China Sea is very spectacular. When it was erected, there was a statue of Guanyin, which used to be a much-told story. Moreover, since Guanyin was pictured above, there has been basically no typhoon raging in Zhoushan, and the temple gives people a good feeling.
Of course, if you love collecting, Putuo Mountain Painting and Calligraphy Institute is also an indispensable place, and ordinary tourists rarely come here.
As for the accommodation of ordinary tourists, Putuo Mountain is a tourist attraction. There are more than 300 hotels and restaurants such as Youxi Xiaozhuang (four-star), Putuo Mountain Hotel (four-star), Xiangsheng Hotel (five-star), Radisson Hotel (four-star) and CITIC Putuo Hotel (three-star), with good conditions and elegant environment, adjacent to core scenic spots and key temples. If you need to make a reservation (I recommend Yongfu Courtyard in Longwan Village, Putuo Mountain, equipped with independent toilet, air conditioner and TV, 1 minute walk to the seaside, and 2 minutes to the Guanyin Zizhulin Scenic Area in Nanhai), tourists with low accommodation requirements can also choose family hotels near Si Qian and Housi, Xishan New Village and Longwan Village. These accommodations are generally small in scale and moderate in price, and more expensive at weekends and incense time.
Tips:
Transportation: Mount Putuo is a floating island. In order to protect the ecological environment, motor vehicles outside the island are not allowed to enter Putuo Mountain, and tourists can only arrive by speedboat or conventional passenger ship. After entering the island, you can take the tourist shuttle bus and enjoy the scenic spots. Mount Putuo is connected with most scenic spots by two tourist buses. These two special buses run every 10 ~ 15 minutes and operate until 17: 00. After 17: 00, all kinds of vehicles will be closed one after another. Visitors should return to their place of residence before this. From the pier to 3 yuan, Si Qian, from Baibusha to 6 yuan, the ropeway station.

Tips: In the first three days of these three days, a large number of pilgrims went to the island, and the waiting time may be longer, and the house price may be slightly higher. If you want to enjoy the pleasure of the sea and the beach, then July, August and September in summer are the best.
