Prose of Fanxing Temple, a Millennium Ancient Temple

Fanxing Temple is located in Ximiaoqiao Village, Xin 'an Town, the eastern water town of Deqing County, Hangjiahu Plain. According to Deqing County Records, "Fanxing Temple is located in Kuzhu Village, 45 miles east of the county seat. Tang Xiantong (AD 860-873) was first built as Yong En Temple, and this sum was given in the second year of Song Dynasty (AD 1063). With a history of 1 150 years, it was destroyed by war. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was rebuilt and expanded many times. The scenery around Fanxing Temple is unique. There used to be four cypresses in front of the door. In the middle ages, ginkgo trees penetrated the sky, and camphor trees smoked by the river. Fanxing Temple is deeply hidden in the embrace of green trees.

1982 was listed as a county-level cultural relics protection unit by Deqing county government. In 2002, the Great Hall of Fanxing Temple was restored. At present, the main hall of Brahma Temple "Lin Yong Tang Jie" is well preserved, which is six feet long from east to west, five feet wide from north to south and about three feet high. The main hall is made of wood called "dust-driving wood" by local people. During the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, monks were dissolved and temples were neglected. So far, the main hall has not been cleaned, but there are no cobwebs and dust on the eaves, beams and columns of the main hall "Yonglin Jieting Hall". It's hot in cool summer, but the temple is very cool, so the locals can't help enjoying the cool. /kloc-In 0/6, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty toured the south of Temple through the canal, which is still a beautiful legend among local villagers.

At that time, Emperor Qianlong visited Jiangnan along the Grand Canal, and the official dragon boat docked in Jiaxing. At that time, the government residence in Huzhou was summoned. The government station introduced in detail the situation of Fanxing Temple in Kuzhu Village, Deqing, Huzhou: "A small pond bridge is one mile long, swinging ten miles ahead, connecting 18 miles to Hengtang Port, and taking a thousand steps. The ancient trees in the temple are towering and the temple is magnificent. " Emperor Qianlong was overjoyed after hearing this, and understood it as: Xiaotang Bridge is a mile long, and it is extremely difficult to reach it. There is a river behind the temple, which is 18 miles long. There are thousands of acres of water in front of the temple, and the Sanskrit Hall is so magnificent that I feel that this place must be visited.

Early the next morning, Emperor Qianlong's official dragon boat set sail. Starting from Jiaxing, a dozen trackers pulled it south to Shimen (now Shimen Town, Tongxiang City). It was already afternoon, and Gan Long asked his entourage if they could go to Kuzhu Village in Deqing. After going ashore to inquire, come back and tell Emperor Qianlong that there is still a long way to go. Although it is a water network, the river port is narrow, which is not convenient for big official ships to move forward. Only small boats can. Emperor Qianlong wore a small Tsing Yi hat and dressed as a civilian. Because there were so many small people on board, he just called a bodyguard and left. Fei Lu shed was installed in the cabin, and the boatmen themselves put the boat (at the helm) and rowed west quickly along Shili Hengtang Port, heading straight for Kuzhu Village.

In the evening, the boat arrived at the Qingshiqiao Bridge near Fanxing Temple. Four or five burly men on the bridge shouted, "Put the boat ashore and leave the waterway money, or you will smash the boat across the bridge." Emperor Qianlong couldn't understand the dialect spoken by the strongman on the bridge at that time, but the boatman told the emperor that there were robbers on the bridge. Emperor Qianlong comforted the boatman and said, "Don't panic, the boat is approaching the south bank, and we will take care of it!" " When the robbers saw that the ship had landed, they hurried to the ship. Just then, Emperor Qianlong and his guards jumped ashore and appeared in front of the robbers. As soon as they made a move, they beat the robbers out of the water, climbed and rolled, and escaped from the dense mulberry forest. It was getting late, so I went back to the shore and shouted to the boatman. The boat is missing. Seeing this, the boatman was afraid of being implicated and didn't want money. He ran for his life and went home.

The night was dim, and Emperor Qianlong and his guards were unaccompanied, and they were in a foreign land and worried. At this time, there was a loud bell not far away, and both of them followed the sound. In the moonlight, I saw the roof of the Mahatma Hall of Fanxing Temple. After a short walk, I arrived at Fanxing Temple. In the dark, I feel extraordinary. The trees in the temple were faintly visible, but the gate was closed, and people in the surrounding villages turned off the lights and went to sleep peacefully. They climbed over the wall, touched the Hall of Ursa Major, and roughly cleaned the altar. Emperor Qianlong fell asleep on it, and the guards slept on the ground. At this time, it coincides with the spring silkworm period in early summer in Jiangnan. Mulberry leaves are lush and mosquitoes abound, so Emperor Qianlong can't sleep. At this time, a little bodhisattva came to help him drive away mosquitoes so that he could sleep peacefully. After waking up from sleep, the little bodhisattva still chased mosquitoes until dawn, and didn't leave until Emperor Qianlong woke up. Qianlong jumped out of the fence and returned to Shimen before the monk opened the mountain gate.

Emperor Qianlong's official ship continued south to Hangzhou. After visiting Hangzhou and Haining, we will drive to Brahma Temple again, and local officials and monks of all sizes will line up to meet us. Emperor Qianlong, accompanied by the abbot, inspected the whole temple. When he saw the little Wei Tuo Bodhisattva standing in the hall, he immediately told the abbot, "This little general has been repelling mosquitoes for me all night. It's hard. Sit in the chair! Reshape a statue of Wei Tuo. " This little bodhisattva is Wei Tuo among the gods. He is a little general. The Wei Tuo Bodhisattva in all the temples in China is standing, but the Sanskrit temple is sitting on a chair, because the Qianlong emperor gave it a seat. Then Emperor Qianlong will take the "Little Ili Tangqiao" and go to Tangqiao in the east of the temple under the guidance of the abbot. It turned out to be a small stone bridge, with bridge opening less than nine feet across a long pond on the bridge. He stood on the Tang Bridge and asked the abbot where the "Thousand Mu Overflow" was. The abbot pointed to Shui Bo in front of the south temple: "Long live, long live." Qianlong suddenly realized that it was not a "thousand mu ripple", but a "thousand steps ripple"! Emperor Qianlong was going to visit the "Shili Hengtang Port" again, and the abbot led him to the Hengtang Port two miles behind the temple. The official car stopped at Shangze Bridge. It turns out that this Hedong is eighteen miles west, and there are six small bridges across this river port. Isn't it eighteen miles wide?

Emperor Qianlong returned to Brahma Temple, summoned the local officials of Hangjiahu who were driving with him, and warned the local officials: "I will come here for the second time in half a month, and the people there are United and act in unison. The first time I saw mulberry fields, the particles were still there. After half a month, it became thousands of miles away, and there was nothing. Therefore, you should be kind to the people, don't make mistakes, stabilize the world and keep one side safe. " Officials of all sizes said in unison, "Thank you for your wise instructions. I will definitely follow the instructions. "

Since then, the government in Hangjiahu area has been clean and honest, and the people are hardworking and brave. In areas where bandits are rampant, local officials send arresting officers as soon as possible to catch thieves, and the public security in Hangjiahu area is stable. In recent years, the weather has been favorable, the crops have been bumper, and the people have lived a life of peace and contentment.
