What does qQA mean for short track speed skating in the Winter Olympics?
Q is promoted directly as the top two players in the group, q is promoted as the third player in the group with faster results after several groups of games, and A is sentenced to the next round, usually when interfered by a foul. Players who are in the top two but whose final results are not in the top two will be penalized.
The finals of Group A compete for medals, and the finals of Group B compete for the following places. The top two in each group in the semi-finals directly enter the Group A finals. There is a Q quota for 1000 meters and 1500 meters, and the last two advance to the Group B finals. If there is a foul in the semi-finals, and there are many people who have no results, there may be less than four people left in the finals of Group B. Only one person is left, and there will be no competition. Similarly, if there is a foul in the finals of Group A, there are many people who have no results. Athletes from each group may receive medals on a back-up basis.
