The mountain history of Yuanbaoshan
Yuanbaoshan has a long history and developed ancient civilization. There are famous sites of "Hongshan Culture" and "Xiajiadian Culture" here. More than 5,000 years ago, our ancestors thrived on this land. Yuanbaoshan District was the Shanrong Territory in the Spring and Autumn Period, the Donghu Territory in the Warring States Period, the Xiongnu Territory in the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Xianbei Territory in the Three Kingdoms, the Kumoxi Territory in the Tang Dynasty, and belonged to the Governor's Mansion of Raole. The Gaozhou administrative seat in the Liao Dynasty was located in Yuanbaoshan Mountain. Zhuangtou Yingzi Village, Feng Shuigou Town. In 1138, the Jin Dynasty changed Liao Zhongjing to Beijing, and the local area belonged to Sanhan County, Dading Prefecture, Beijing Road. In 1270 Yuan Dynasty, Beijing Road was changed to Daning Road, with prefectures under it. The local area belonged to Daning Road and Gaozhou. In 1940, the puppet Manchukuo state merged flags and counties, abolished the county system, and established Wengniute Right Banner in Chifeng and Karaqin Right Banner in Pingzhuang. The northern part of this area belongs to Wengniute Right Banner and the southern part belongs to Karaqin. Right flag. Jianzhong County was established in September 1946, with Pingzhuang as its headquarters. In 1961, Pingzhuang District was under the jurisdiction of Chifeng County. On July 1, 1979, the territory of this region was transferred to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region along with the Zhaowuda League. On October 10, 1983, Yuanbaoshan District of Chifeng City was established with the approval of the State Council. The government seat was located on Yunshan Road. In November 1993, the headquarters was moved to Pingzhuang Yinhe Street.
In the past, Laoha River was the darling of people in the entire Yuanbaoshan area. Whenever May Day or the spring season, there were always many people going to the river to play and play in the water. Youthful passion.
The Laoha River that now flows into the territory is almost dry due to man-made and other factors. The wind and sand have gradually buried the old river bed, and the old river has evolved into a ditch. People can only recall the way the river flowed in those years.
The "Encyclopedia of China" (popular version) published in 1999 said: "The Liaohe River is one of the largest rivers in northern China. The upper reaches of the mainstream Laoha River originates from Guangtou Mountain in the Qilaotu Mountains of Hebei Province and merges with the west The Lamulun River is called the Xiliao River..." According to this, the source of the Laoha River is in Liuxi Township in Pingquan County. Regarding the source of the Laoha River, in November 2003, Hu Tingrong and Zhang Songbai, two Chifeng geological and archaeological workers, measured it with a curved instrument on a large-scale topographic map of 1/100000: the Laoha River in Pingquan County is 55 kilometers long. Instead of the 75 kilometers written in the newly revised "Pingquan County Chronicle"; the length of the Heili River in Ningcheng County is 59 kilometers, which is consistent with the 58.9 kilometers recorded in the newly revised "Ningcheng County Chronicle". For example, using a large-scale topographic map of 1/150000 to measure: the Ha River in Pingquan is 64 kilometers long, and the Heili River in Ningcheng County is 64 kilometers long (large-scale maps can show some small bends, so the river must be longer). In short, the Heili River is 4 kilometers longer than the Laoha River in Pingquan County. The annual runoff of the two rivers is also very similar. According to the regulations that when the annual runoff is similar, the source of the longest river in the upper reaches of the river should be the source, the source of the Laoha River should be the Heili River, and relevant departments (water conservancy, geography) should take this objective fact seriously.
The Laoha River joins the Heili River at the Chifeng border of Qijia Natural Village, Dianzi Township, southern Ningcheng County, and then passes through Ningcheng, Kalaqin, Aohan, Yuanbaoshan, Songshan, and Wengniute Counties, banners, and districts, it flows out of Hailiutu Village, Daxing Township, Wengniute Banner, and merges with Xilamulun. The entire river is 425 kilometers long, and the internal river is 368 kilometers long. It is the longest river in Chifeng City. The Laoha River is the mainstream river in the upper reaches of the Liaohe River that was newly recognized by authoritative departments at the end of the 20th century. In the past, it was determined that Xilamulun, the upper reaches of the Liaohe River, has a total length of 397 kilometers, which is 28 kilometers shorter than the Laoha River. Obviously, it can only be regarded as an important tributary of the upper reaches of the Liaohe River mainstream. The entire Laoha River basin area is 29,710 square kilometers, and the internal drainage area is 22,335 square kilometers.
The water volume of Laoha River is also larger than that of Siramulun. The average annual runoff measured at Hongshan Reservoir is 1.27 billion cubic meters, accounting for 41% of Chifeng City’s surface water resources, while Siramulun The annual runoff measured at Hailasu (station) is 1.002 billion cubic meters (the largest value among this river measuring station, and it becomes smaller due to leakage further downstream), accounting for only 32% of the city's surface water resources. Therefore, the Laoha River is truly the mainstream of the upper reaches of the Liaohe River. The ancient belief that Siramulun is the main stream of the upper reaches of the Liao River, as used in the past, should be abolished. (This part of Yuanbaoshan is not part of Handan City, but refers to Yuanbaoshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia)
