What measures does crassus have to stop the Spartak rebels?
Throughout the summer of 7 1 BC, crassus was defeated in the battle with the rebels. In order to reorganize the army, crassus resumed the cruel "Eleven Killing Method" of the Italian army, and every 10 soldier who escaped from the battle drew lots, and each group killed one person. In order to survive, the soldiers regained their courage and improved the fighting capacity of crassus troops. Spartak troops quickly advanced to the southern tip of the Italian half island. Spartak negotiated with pirates on the rough sea, and the pirates transported the rebels to Sicily by ship. The pirate got the money, made a wish, but disappeared at the appointed time. It was bought by the governor of Sicily. This treachery put the rebels in a desperate situation. However, Spartak did not lose heart. He organized the rebels to make their own rafts, and tied wooden barrels underneath them to cross the sea instead of ships. However, the big storm at sea failed this plan and the rebels were besieged. Crassus is a sly fox. In order to prevent the slave uprising from going north again, he ordered his soldiers to dig a trench across the whole isthmus, each trench was 4.5 feet wide, and a tall and solid protective wall was built beside the trench to prevent the rebels from breaking through.
