Visit Wangjiayu again
The first time I visited Wangjiayuan was during the National Day. It was late winter when I revisited Wangjiayuan. Wangjiayu in late winter has a unique flavor.
We set off at around seven in the morning and arrived at Shijiagou at around nine. Shijiagou is located in Jijiashan Township, Heshan District, Hebi City. Together with Wangjiayu Village, Dongqi Village, Xidian Village, Huangmiaogou Village, Zhangjiagou Village and Huweigou Village, it is also known as the "Beidou" of the ancient villages in Heshan District, Hebi City. Seven Stars". Most of the houses are built according to the mountains, and stone mills, stone rollers, stone tables and other objects can be seen everywhere. Looking around, there is an empty stone window, a peeling wooden door, a broken wall, and an eaves of green tiles. Against the background of the jagged stone walls of the stone houses, it gives people a sense of history.
When you arrive in Shijiagou, you must visit the Li Family Courtyard. The Li Family Courtyard is built on the flat land in the mountains next to the village. It is the largest ancient courtyard building complex in Hebi City. Close to the stone bridge is Nanping No. 1 Courtyard. There is a huge blue rock flagpole square on the left and right sides in front of the gate of No. 1 Courtyard. It is said that in the Qing Dynasty, only the Gongsheng students who passed the imperial examination and were admitted to the Imperial College for further study could set up the flagpole square in their homes. From Courtyard No. 1 to Courtyard No. 6, several sons of the Li family and their families live in sequence. Although the courtyard is in disrepair and appears dilapidated, we can still imagine the prosperous and lively life of the Li family hundreds of years ago from the scale of the courtyard.
Yanghui Tower is where the Li family garrisoned troops and was used by the security regiment. This is a two-story eight-meter-high stone building, and the roof has collapsed. Standing on the wall on the second floor and looking far away, under the blue sky, private houses are scattered on the mountainside. The red tiles and stone walls are at regular heights, creating a peaceful and peaceful atmosphere.
After leaving Shijiagou, we walked along the mountain road and arrived at the small town of Xidian. Parking the car in the small square in front of the village committee (it is said to be a small square, but it is actually just a small piece of flat land on the top of the mountain with a few fitness equipment), we first visited Xidian Primary School. The primary school is located in the village committee. There are two wooden plaques on the dilapidated stone wall. The one on the left says "Xidian Village Office" and the one on the right reads "Xidian Primary School".
Then, we started to look for Jingju Temple along the mountain road. Jingju Temple, also known as Weiquan Temple, was built in the Han Dynasty. On the way, I saw a water cellar covered by bluestone slabs, with fallen leaves and other dirt floating on the water. It is said that whenever it rains, the rainwater flows down the mountain into the water cellar. After settling, it becomes drinking water for the people. An old lady of about sixty years old walked slowly on the winding mountain road with a cane and two buckets of water. It seemed that time was crushed and scattered in the buckets.
The road turned with the peak, and several persimmon trees suddenly appeared in front of us. On the high branches, dozens of persimmons are red and crystal clear. When we reach middle age, we all suddenly become children, wandering around the tree, as if the red color has turned into sweetness and entered our hearts. How to eat persimmons? We first held the tree and shook it for a while, and the persimmons fell to the ground one after another, and immediately turned into persimmon mud. Okay, take the plunge and climb a tree! The clumsy body finally stood on the tree and carefully picked a bunch of persimmons. The people under the tree carefully picked them up with branches. The persimmons are ripe, cool, sweet, and simply the most beautiful taste in the world.
After having enough persimmon addiction, we moved on. The weather was fine, without a trace of wind, and the sun was shining warmly on me. It really made people doubt that it was spring. After passing another hilltop, we saw the Jingju Temple on the top of the mountain. The red temple is spectacular on the winding mountain. It is truly worthy of being called the "Little Potala".
There is still some distance from the top of the mountain at our feet to Jingju Temple. We continued walking along the mountain road, passing through a river valley, and arrived at the foot of Jingju Temple. There are rocks standing in the river valley, a stream gurgling past, and a few trees tied together to form a small wooden bridge. Walking on the bridge, it is swaying like a swing.
After climbing a few more steps, we finally stood in front of the Jingju Temple. Jingju Temple faces south and has Pilu Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, Samantabhadra Hall, Manjusri Hall, Bodhisattva Hall, Mahavira Hall, etc., all of which are built according to the mountains and have a well-organized layout. Because the temple is located on the top of a mountain, with steep terrain, deep ravines, quiet and elegant surroundings, and beautiful scenery, it is a good place for self-cultivation. In front of the temple, a small stream flows around the temple, and the water color is like jasper. The green mountains and green waters, the drums at dusk and the bells in the morning, make people abandon the troubles of the world and feel clear-minded.
Accompanying us to the Jingju Temple is a special traveling companion - a cute puppy.
It has followed him all the way from the small town of Xidian, playing happily at his son's feet. The son fed it a few mouthfuls of bread from time to time, and after a while, they became good friends. When his son was tired from walking and resting, he would lie at his feet with his feet in the air and let his son tickle him. As soon as the son stood up, he quickly ran ahead and led the way, just like a little tour guide. When we left the small town of Xidian, it stood at the intersection and stared at us, as if saying goodbye to us.
After leaving Jingju Temple, we drove to Wangjiayu. Wangjiayu is one of the most beautiful ancient villages in China. The villagers here use firewood to cook, oxen to plow the land, donkeys to pull the mill, and carry water, firewood, and cow dung all on a shoulder pole. Time seems to have slowed down in this ancient village. The villagers' steps are slow and leisurely, and their expressions are peaceful. They live like the leisurely years in the mountains and fields where "there are no armors in the mountains, and the year is not known when it is cold".
?We passed through the village and went down the mountain from the Four-hole Bridge, preparing to go to the Sun Bay Grand Canyon.
The mountain road became rugged. In some places, it was even so steep that it was almost vertical. Only by using hands and feet could we continue to move forward. Walking to an open sunny area, we started lunch. The huge stone was used as a table and the low stone was used as a stool. The sunshine was just right and the air was clear. Even the food seemed to have the flavor of the clear breeze and bright moonlight in the mountains.
After walking for a long time among the rocks, it was getting late, so we had to adjust our itinerary, abandon Sun Bay Canyon, and instead walk up the mountain in 24 turns to return to Wangjiayu. Twenty-four turns left and right, and when you reach the top of the mountain, your eyes suddenly open up and you have a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. It feels like "seeing all the mountains at a glance".
Going further, you will arrive at Wangjiayu. While basking in the sun, the villagers sold some mountain products - walnuts, pickled Chinese toon, dried pumpkins, home-brewed wine, persimmons, pheasant eggs, millet, and some root carvings.
On the way away in the car, I was still thinking - what kind of flavor should Wangjiayu have in spring?
