Are the dharma names and numbers the same after becoming a monk?
The major monasteries or sects have different generations and are generally marked by the first word of the dharma name. In other words, the meaning of the first word of dharma name only represents the generation of dharma name. For example, suppose that the generation is "epiphany void" (1 meal 2, enlightenment 3 and emptiness 4). If you are "enlightenment", Master can name you "enlightenment net". If you are a "virtual" generation, Master can name you "virtual bamboo". Once "Xuzhu" meets "Wujing", it will be known that it is an uncle-level elder.
Therefore, your dharma name is "Tao Ru", which means that you belong to the word "Tao", and "Ru" is your name, which probably means that Master wants you to be enlightened as soon as possible, because Buddhism calls "Buddha nature" "authenticity".
