The harvest season of apples has arrived, so will the price of apples fall?
Then, why is the purchase price of early-maturing apples not too high, but the price of apples on the market has not dropped? Because the early-maturing apple tastes bad, it is not as good as the late-maturing red Fuji apple, and it is not resistant to storage, easy to mix with flour, and the planting area is relatively small. It can only be a transitional product in the apple market, and can't be compared with late-maturing red Fuji apples.
Rare things are expensive. Judging from the fruit setting rate and bagging amount of red Fuji apples this year, the overall situation in China is relatively good, which should be the same as that of the previous year. Although some parts of the country have suffered from disastrous weather such as hail, drought, typhoon, etc., on the whole, most places are still relatively good. If there are less than two months left and there are no major problems, this year's apples should be a bumper harvest year and the output should be better.
Then if the output is high, the price will definitely fall, which is an inevitable state, but the price may not fall much. The reason for this is the following:
First, the pricing impact of early-maturing apples. The purchase price of early-maturing apples is generally 2 ~ 3 yuan per catty, but some good apples are purchased from 5 yuan at 4 ~ 4 per catty. Affected by this price, at least the price of late-maturing red Fuji apples should not be a problem.
The second is the impact of rising prices. Everyone knows this, and now the production materials and labor costs are rising. If the price of apples is too low, not only fruit farmers will lose money, but also a year's hard work will be wasted, and even businesses will lose their enthusiasm because there is no profit.
The third is the influence of artificial speculation. Can people who made a lot of money in the Apple futures market last year stop this year? I believe they have their eye on it. There are also import and export trade factors that cannot be ignored.
Therefore, farmers believe that although this year's apple is a big year, it can be said that the output should be relatively high, and the price should not be as high as last year, but it will not be too low. The initial purchase price in the market should be around 4 ~ 5 yuan per catty. Of course, this can only be an estimate, and the final purchase price will not be known until after the National Day. But what is certain is that there is no need to sell high-quality apples at any time, and the price will be higher.
