Northwest Shandong, south-central Hebei and northern Henan are closely linked. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is divided into coastal economic belt and plain economic belt. The coastal economic belt is mainly centered on Dezhou, and the plain economic belt is centered on Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, from north to south, and then centers on Baoding, Shijiazhuang, Handan and Xinxiang.
In order to restore the vitality of the north and build the economic center of the north, Shandong Province put forward the development plan of the high-efficiency ecological economic zone in the Yellow River Delta in northwest Shandong Province, and submitted it to the State Council for approval to become a national strategy. Hebei Province proposed the construction of the Central South Economic Zone in Hebei Province, which was promoted to a national strategy through the State Council. Henan Province proposed to build the Central Plains Economic Zone in northern Henan, which was approved by the State Council as a national strategy. In this way, the three regions have the support of policies. Huanghua Port, which was specially expanded in Hebei Province to revitalize the economy, has laid a good hardware foundation for the development of central and southern Hebei, northwestern Shandong and northern Henan.
