Central and southern Hebei, northwestern Shandong and northern Henan are located in the hinterland of North China and belong to Hebei Plain. That is, the areas north of the Yellow River, east of Taihang Mountain, south of Xiaoyan Mountain and west of Bohai Sea.

Northwest Shandong refers to the area north of the Yellow River in Shandong Province. Including Dezhou City, Liaocheng City and Binzhou City (excluding zouping county and Boxing County), Shanghe County and Jiyang County of Jinan City, Lijin County and Hekou District of Dongying City.

Northern Henan refers to five prefecture-level cities, namely Anyang, Puyang, Hebi, Jiaozuo and Xinxiang, and Jiyuan 1 provincial city, which are located in the north of the Yellow River. Central and southern Hebei, northern Henan and northwestern Shandong have a total area of 6.5438+0.5 million square kilometers and a population of about 90 million. The population is mainly Han, and the main languages are Jilu Mandarin, Zhongyuan Mandarin and Jinyuhan Chip. The terrain of the three areas is mainly in the central and eastern plains, with Taihang Mountain in the west and Houshan (Taihang Mountain) near the water (Bohai Sea). Flat terrain, has been a treasure trove of geomantic omen since ancient times.

Northwest Shandong, south-central Hebei and northern Henan are closely linked. On the whole, the three regions are bordered by Xiaoyan Mountain in the north, Taihang Mountain in the west, Yellow River in the south and Bohai Sea in the east, which have natural geographical homology. The third district belongs to Jizhou as early as ancient times, ranking first in Kyushu. The Sui and Tang Dynasties belonged to Hebei Road and the Song Dynasty belonged to Zhongshu Province, so the three districts also have a deep historical origin. Central and southern Hebei, northwestern Shandong and northern Henan are located in the hinterland of North China, the eastern coast and the Bohai Economic Zone. There are Beijing-Guangzhou, Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Kowloon railways in this area. Beijing-Hong Kong High-speed Railway, Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Qingtai Passenger Dedicated Line, Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, South-to-North Water Diversion Canal running through the north and south, and Huanghua Comprehensive Port at sea, with developed and convenient transportation and obvious location advantages.

The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal is divided into coastal economic belt and plain economic belt. The coastal economic belt is mainly centered on Dezhou, and the plain economic belt is centered on Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, from north to south, and then centers on Baoding, Shijiazhuang, Handan and Xinxiang.

In order to restore the vitality of the north and build the economic center of the north, Shandong Province put forward the development plan of the high-efficiency ecological economic zone in the Yellow River Delta in northwest Shandong Province, and submitted it to the State Council for approval to become a national strategy. Hebei Province proposed the construction of the Central South Economic Zone in Hebei Province, which was promoted to a national strategy through the State Council. Henan Province proposed to build the Central Plains Economic Zone in northern Henan, which was approved by the State Council as a national strategy. In this way, the three regions have the support of policies. Huanghua Port, which was specially expanded in Hebei Province to revitalize the economy, has laid a good hardware foundation for the development of central and southern Hebei, northwestern Shandong and northern Henan.
