How to draw snow landscape painting in winter?

Type the manuscript with a pencil

Landscape painting only needs to draw a rough outline, especially gouache. After painting, the basic details can't be seen.

Start coloring

Start with the snow-capped mountains. Paint a large area of snow white first, in case you accidentally paint the mountain wrong later.

Tone preparation

It is better to paint another color when it is not dry. So squeeze all the pigments on the palette first, and adjust the colors in advance if necessary. So you don't need to spend time when you need it, and it's faster to get the pigment directly. Use several colors to give the mountain a general color, just highlighting the trend of the mountain and the general change of light and shade.

Draw rocks and details

Draw the rock stratum of the mountain in dark or black, draw some lines for the snow in light gray and light green, and finally draw the snow on the mountain in white. The biggest advantage of gouache is that it is not afraid of drawing mistakes, because the color can be covered and painted repeatedly until it is satisfactory.

Mountains and rivers are all colored.

Like the fourth step, the mountains behind are usually colored.

Draw texture

Draw the texture of the mountain, the edges and corners of the rock and the relationship between light and shade with dark colors.

Painting snow

As soon as the snow is painted, the feeling comes out immediately, and the overall picture is much brighter. Individual details can be supplemented by other colors, and those that are accidentally painted wrong when drawing snow can also be remedied.

Huahui Lake

First, adjust all kinds of colors that need to be used, change the brush to paint a large area, and pay attention to the reflection and the corresponding above. Here, the color of my lake is completely dark and diluted by water. As a result, there was too much water in the back, and the paper was almost broken after painting twice. = = Learn a lesson. Next time it is light, add some white pigment and less water.

1.

A detailed description of the lake

The reflection in the water doesn't need to be too precise and detailed, just a vague outline can be seen. Draw the outline of the main peaks and large areas of snow. Brush back and forth at the junction of snow and mountain with a small brush to blur the boundary.

Render the sky

Looking from a distance, I found that the reflection colors of the lake and the mountains in the water were a little out of harmony, and the bottom was too blue, so I darkened it a little and made it a little thinner. I drew a dark layer on the lake that was too blue below, which naturally connected and drew the sky. Finally, there is a little overall effect.

Snowflake ornament

Finally add some snow.
